New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1954 Nash
Metropolitan 2 Door Coupe with green exterior paint, a white
hardtop and a gorgeous beige/black cloth interior. You'll find a
1.5L four cylinder engine under the hood with a 3-speed manual
transmission and a brand new clutch, all of which have been fully
restored over the last 300 miles. With fantastic performance, curb
appeal and documentation, this highly desirable classic is ready to
enjoy immediately at local shows or as a really high end driver for
one lucky collector.
Beautiful Restoration Effort
The current owner of this 1954 Nash Metropolitan Coupe informs us
that it recently underwent a very extensive restoration effort
where the paint was stripped down to bare metal, smoothed to
perfection and then resprayed with the current lime green color.
The interior was also completely refurbished in the original
Houndstooth style and it looks incredible in person. As we
mentioned earlier, all the mechanicals were also sorted through
while the drivetrain was fully restored- all of this work took
place within the last 300 miles. This prestigious classic also has
brand new tires and is ready to enjoy.
Additionally, this 1954 Nash Metropolitan offers very nice
performance on the open road with smooth acceleration and excellent
overall handling. A closer inspection of this vehicle reveals a
nearly flawless exterior that really stands out in person. In fact,
the only real detractions we could find are two small dings in the
passenger door panel. The interior is equally as impressive as well
and could almost pass for new condition outside the factory radio
(not working). This classic vehicle is simply beautiful throughout
and would make a great addition to any serious collection.
