This 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza coupe runs and drives really well and has a 4 speed manual transmission. This car was previously owned by one of our mechanics here at Shade's Corvairs. Within the last 1,000 miles the car got new tires, brake shoes and rubber brake lines. The engine also received a "budget" rebuild from the crank on up, including: good used main and rod bearings, good used pistons, honed cylinders, new moly piston rings, new valve springs, all new engine seals and gaskets, rebuilt carbs, a rotary electric fuel pump, good used clutch, new throw-out bearing, input shaft seal and clutch pilot bushing. The car also has a new Flowmaster dual exhaust system and a rebuilt, internally regulated alternator. While the car does has a lot of cosmetic rust, structurally it is sounds as the pinch welds on the rockers are good as well as the torque boxes. This is a great, inexpensive daily driver for someone or just an affordable, entry level classic. For more information, feel free to call Chris Shade anytime at (402) 460-7097.
