For Sale: 1938 Chevrolet Street Rod in Mooresville, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

HIGHLIGHTS: Professionally built street rod built to be driven, Heidts tubular A-arms, Magnaflow polished mufflers, polished gas tank, Chevy 350 V8 and TH350 transmission. Built by Daniel's Hot Rod Shop in Sacramento, CA. So much about it to love!!

BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this '38 Chevy is clean, straight, and has been kept up. When this vehicle was customized, someone clearly took their time making it look as good as possible. It is super clean up top and the underneath is dressed up a bit too! This car has a full steel body, fiberglass fenders, smoothie bumpers, shaved trim, and is a real head-turner!

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint is in beautiful overall condition. There are very few paint imperfections, and these are the minor types of imperfections that appear after a few years of use. The paint has a brilliant shine, lots of depth, and the Ford "Balboa Blue" looks stunning on this car. The finishing touch is the very subtle pinstriping. Included with the sale is a custom car cover as well as a custom car bra; perfect for protecting this gorgeous paint!

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The gray and blue custom interior is in great shape, and the custom headliner is a really cool touch. The addition of an AM/FM/CD radio hidden in the glovebox keeps the classic look, while a custom console with cupholders is a welcome addition in a cruiser like this. It is fully Dynamat insulated, and has working A/C & heat. There are various billet components throughout to give it the proper show car look.

The bucket seats are comfortable, and the integrated Garmin GPS is the finishing touch. One last thing to note about the interior is the small tool set attached to a hidden panel in the floor of the trunk. It's all about the details!

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a Chevrolet 350 with an Edelbrock Performer cam, an Edelbrock Endurashine Intake, and a 600CFM Edelbrock Endurashine carburetor. This puppy is chromed out under the hood, and does it ever look sharp! With so many under-hood components chromed, a polished aluminum Be Cool radiator is the logical choice. All those shiny things sure look great against the blue firewall! This street rod runs like a champ, and drives very smoothly. You can tell they took their time building this one!

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: How timeless it is! Street rods have a tendency to look dated fairly rapidly, but this one was done so tastefully that it looks like it could've been built last year!

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: There's not much to nitpick on this one! If you don't like blue, custom cars, or having fun, you may dislike this fine automobile.

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Being that this was once a show car, it has been quite some time since it had a new set of tires installed. While the Michelins on it now hold air just fine and have plenty of tread, they are out of date and should be replaced if you intend to do a lot of driving in this car.

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? This 1938 Chevrolet is for the buyer who wants to finally own that street rod they never got around to building, or for someone wanting to relive the "good old days" in a cool custom rod. This car is waiting for a new owner, and built to hit the streets!
