In 1982, Buick introduced the Grand National to celebrate their
wins of the Winston Manufacturers Cup and what began as a limited
run of 100 cars to celebrate their victories became a mainstay of
the Buick brand through the 1980s. Something about the Grand
National captured the essence of American automotive culture
throughout the 1980s.
In 1987 when this Grand National was produced, Buick had created a
swan song for the Buick Muscle Car, a working mans supercar, with
huge amounts of usable torque and a 14 second quarter mile time
right off the dealership lot. Driving this car is a nostalgic
experience and it brings the driver back to a simpler time of cars,
when passion and competition lead automotive design not safety
features and fuel economy.
This particular 1987 Buick Grand National has been well maintained
and cared for by a committed owner. It has been tastefully upgraded
, which includes a fiberglass hood, the original also comes with
the car, and a new ECU chip. This car came equipped with the "G80"
option for a limited slip differential.
All mechanical components have been gone through by Black Horse
Garage. The car has a recent engine rebuild including a new piston
rings, new camshaft bearings, new valve seals, all new engine
gaskets, water pump,rear main seal, The crankshaft was also sent
out to be redone. All of the wiring has been gone though to make
sure everything's in working order.
The brakes were completely redone and shocks installed along with
all new BF Goodrich comp T/A tires. The car also has a new
serpentine belt and ignition coil pack. This car is ready to add to

The Turbo 3.8L V6 pulls hard and this car is fantastically fun to
drive. The all black appearance of this Grand National gives it an
