Vehicle Description

1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO For Sale- Certified By The COPO Connection, Rotisserie Restored LMC is very proud to offer this 1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro The legendary COPO Camaro's produced in 1969 are among the most sought-after Camaros ever factory built. Unlike many performance cars of the time, these Camaros carried absolutely no external identification starting the engine size or horsepower. With their incredible performance from the L72 427 and the rarity of not even being an advertised option, they have an incredible following. The Central Office Production Order (COPO) process was a method for dealers or GM itself to request the manufacture of vehicles configured differently than the previously planned models for that model year. As GM had a corporate policy that limited F body and X body cars to 400 cubic inch engines, special dealers used the COPO process to get around this policy and install the best GM high performance engines into their favorite platforms. The 1969 COPO Camaro offered here for sale was sold new at Dutch Miller Chevrolet in Huntington, West Virginia on May 27th, 1969. Factory ordered in the desirable code 72 Hugger Orange paint with 711 Black interior this COPO is an eye-catching example. Open the hood and you will find the L72 427/425hp COPO engine backed by close ratio Muncie M21 4 speed. This COPO is subtle in its appearance with color matched steel wheels and cowl induction hood. As most of these cars were purpose built, it has minimal options including Am Radio and Power Disc Brakes. This car has a very well-known ownership history having been apart of Reggie Jackson's collection and Boyd Coddington personal collections. Having received a complete no expense spared rotisserie nut and bolt restoration, the body of this vehicle was gone over from front to back and top to bottom.. The paint has been wet sanded and polished to a glass like reflection. The subframe was also stripped and refinished in its factory style semi gloss black, and all chassis components were replaced and refinished in the correct style factory finishes. The underbody itself was also refinished with the factory style over spray and shows beautifully. Even the L72 427ci engine has been carefully detailed to "as-new" condition. This car comes documented with the owner's manual, dealer inspection, The COPO Connection verification and certificate as well as known ownership history. A perfect car for the collector looking for a beautiful COPO Camaro to add to their collection! Additional Details: 1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO COPO -
