The Central Office Production Order (COPO) process was a method for dealers or GM itself to request the manufacture of vehicles configured differently than the previously planned models for that model year. As GM had a corporate policy that limited F body and X body cars to 400 cubic inch engines, special dealers used the COPO process to get around this policy and install the best GM high performance engines into their favorite platforms. The 1969 COPO Camaro offered here for sale was sold new at Dutch Miller Chevrolet in Huntington, West Virginia on May 27th, 1969. Factory ordered in the desirable code 72 Hugger Orange paint with 711 Black interior this COPO is an eye-catching example.
