Enthusiasts know that the 1949 Mercury Eight coupe is the true lead
sled. So take some time to look over every inch, because there have
been thousands $$$$$$ invested in the paint, body, big block V8,
air ride suspension, and more. It's all to make sure that the
definitive custom car model surpasses your expectations for a
custom coupe.
Take a long look at the body. This Mercury has all the great traits
of the legendary hot rods like the frenched headlights, shaved door
handles, Cadillac hub caps, fender skirts, blue-dot taillights, and
dual spotlights. And the chrome front end has a smooth 10,000-watt
smile. Of course, our favorite custom element has to be the paint.
The sleek dark blue is a candy-coated canvas to lay custom work on
top. Those flames are done with a color-shifting chameleon color
that also has an impressive depth. It's like someone dipped the
front and sides in over-proof alcohol, set it on fire, and sent
this driving through the night air. Adding to this coupe's sinister
sleekness is the expertly chopped roof, and the air bag suspension
that allows you to dial-in an ultra-low stance on demand. We have
receipts that document over $100,000 invested in the paint and body
over a multi-year restoration, but the quality of this custom
already proves the solid investment.
Pop the remote door openers to reveal more great custom work. The
full deep blue package with burgundy inserts has a similar color
vibe to the exterior. A custom cruiser means a comfortable machine.
That's why the seats have comfy cloth inserts. Plus, the front one
is power adjustable and has a fold-down armrest for individual
space. There's more great features like an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo
with aux input, cruise control, air ride switches, and provisions
for air conditioning. You also get cool driving features, including
a B&M ratchet floor shifter and a blue-wrapped sports steering
wheel featuring a tilt column and classic Mercury badge in the
center.
Under the hood is serious power for this custom machine. It's a 468
cubic-inch big block V8. This big displacement motor likes to show
off its power with some extra flair with the big air grabber and
custom valve covers. It has all the right pieces for a
strong-running setup, including an MSD ignition, upgraded pulleys,
and a BeCool aluminum radiator w/electric fan. The big V8 inhales
deeply with an Edelbrock 750 four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock
intake. And headers add even more power while contributing to the
rumble of the dual exhaust. The comfortable cruising nature
continues with the upgraded Camaro front end, and tubular arms on
the four-link rear. There's also the three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs up
front.
This is a true lead sled with an award-worthy look. And it's also
got the power and smooth ride to really make you want to show this
off everywhere. So don't let the ultimate custom slip away, call
today!!!
