Here is a nice "survivor" example of the rapidly appreciating
Datsun 240Z. The 240Z was a stunning hit in its day and throughout
its production, the supply never kept up with demand. It had great
looks accompanied by strong performance at a price point that
shamed its competition. Now recognized by collectors for what a
standout it was when new, the 240Z is becoming a sought after
sports car collectors around the world. We acquired this one out of
long term ownership where it remained hidden away their garage for
the last several years. We believe the indicated 84,000 miles is
likely actual. It runs and drives very well and most of the paint
is original. It had previous work on each rear quarter panel but
our paint meter readings are consistent with factory paint on the
front fenders, hood, doors, and top. The interior is not without
some faults, particularly a split on the passenger side seat
bottom. Do you go with an interior kit or make sympathetic repairs
and cleaning? With a nice survivor like this, we will leave that
call to the next owner but it is something our shop can do if you
