Vehicle Description
This one is for all those who love a good muscle machine. Not only
does this 1969 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am tribute nicely represent
the dawn of Pontiac's famous T/A, but also it has true
street-eating V8 power under the hood and the stopping power of
four-wheel disc brakes. So take a look at the details, because this
is history and power rolled into one.
This is the year that launched a legend, and so you instantly
understand why there would be a solid investment in making sure to
deliver a head-turning tribute car. All original T/As were born in
Cameo White with blue accents. So they took extra time and money to
get a white with a brilliant luster. On top of that they painted
the proper blue with a hint of metallic to give off flair, and then
the whole package was cleared over. So the sunlight loves this
classic as it rolls evenly across the whole coupe. It has all the
right speedy details, like the big rear spoiler, hood pins, fender
vents, and lightweight fiberglass hood with faux dual scoops. Plus,
there was an investment in the brightwork, too, to keep everything
looking great, including the sharply pointed front bumper, bezels,
trim, and form-fitting rear bumper. And the Rally II wheels add to
both the shine and sportiness of this total package.
The blue interior is always a nice distinctive feature on a T/A,
and so it's great to have this one looking so fresh. You get
everything you want in a classic like this, including bucket seats
and a center console. Plus, the stereo is now an upgraded AM/FM/CD
unit with a USB input for your phone. This also has the right
performance-oriented upgrades, like the grippy sports steering
wheel, well-integrated SunPro auxiliary readouts, and a B&M
ratchet shifter. There are even provisions for the iconic
hood-mounted tach - the '60s version of a head-up display.
The 400 cubic-inch V8 under the hood fills the engine bay with
American muscle. Everyone gets drawn in by the tidy look of the
light blue block, polished valve covers, and matching air topper.
Even the upgrades have a nice look with the steel-braided hoses,
March pulleys w/serpentine belt, and aluminum radiator w/electric
fans. If this is starting to sound like a hardy setup, it's because
the V8 has been enhanced, too. It includes a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and long tube headers
feeding the X-pipe dual exhaust. The consignor states this is a
400hp machine, and don't forget that Pontiac's motors are also true
torque kings. To make sure you get the most out of this mighty
motor you have full control over it now that the stout TH400
three-speed has a manual valve body. Keeping this big power in your
control are features like power steering, wide BF Goodrich T/As,
and upgraded four-wheel power disc brakes.
This is the solid and powerful coupe that pays proper tribute to
the first Trans Am. So if you love history, muscle, and value, call
