Vehicle Description
Big block power, four-on-the-floor, and an A/C interior are all
part of an awesome package that makes up this restored 1972
Chevrolet Chevelle 454.
The paint makes a bold first impression. The dark green has a
similar quality to black, but then the sunlight hits it, and a new
depth and metallic element come out to make you love this glossy
green. And the silver SS stripes painted on top coordinate nicely
with this color. Add to that the raised cowl-induction hood, hood
pins, correct SS badges throughout, and updated Rally wheel
package, and soon you can see that distinction also has aggression.
This would be the last year for the form-hugging bumpers, and so
they made sure to pay proper tribute to them by having both the
front and rear freshly dipped to shine like mirrors. In total, it's
a straight, clean, and stunning hardtop.
With less than 4k miles since completing restoration, the whole
interior feels quite fresh. The carpets, door panels, headliner,
and seats all have the quality feeling of a solid investment. The
driver gets a correct dual-spoke SS steering wheel that gives a
great view of the sporty gauge panel with large speedo, tach, and
working clock. And your right hand is instantly attracted to the
Hurst manual shifter in the center console. Everything looks quite
correct, and even the retro sound AM/FM radio has a knob-style
setup to be period-correct for the dash housing. So if you were
starting to believe this was the ideal cruiser, then knowing that
you can stay cool while looking cool with R134a air conditioning
will really seal the deal.
We all love to the sight of Chevy's famous big block 454 V8, and
this one is done quite right. It has some extra flair with the
polished valve covers and alternator. And do you see the gasket
around the bright air topper? That seals it to the working cowl
induction hood. So this mighty V8 inhales deeper with fresh air as
it feeds the four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock high rise intake.
The rumbling dual exhaust delivers a sweet-sounding motor, and
you're in control of it all thanks to the Muncie M20 four-speed
manual transmission. And this Chevelle has been made to be an
all-around driver with power steering, power brakes with discs up
front, and wide BF Goodrich T/As.
Here's an iconic Chevelle that has a distinct look, serious power,
and terrific driving upgrades. That means you're looking at a total
package classic that's ready to hit the streets right now. Call
