A supercharged 425 hp fuel-injected speed machine headlines this
1965 Shelby Cobra by Factory Five. But as you dig into all the
details, you see an all-around awesome machine with everything from
slick paint to air conditioning (yes, A/C!) It makes for your whole
wish list in one car.
The red instantly grabs your attention, because it's a quality
application that makes the roadster look like it's candy-coated.
And it's an especially sweet treat the way it radiates when the
sunlight shows off the Cobra's legendary curvy bodywork. This has
been built to be detail-oriented, and so the iconic white racing
stipes run the full length over the body. They even have smoking
tire cobra graphics in white just ahead of the doors. And while
this car is built for serious track time, they also made sure it
had plenty of brightwork. It's just now showing off functional
pieces, like the push bumpers, dual roll hoops, racing gas cap, and
menacing side pipes. There's even bright accenting on the proper
Halibrand-style racing wheels.
With only about 8k miles on the build, there's been little seat
time. So those classic tracing buckets look terrific. It has the
right mix of vintage and performance as you have the classic-style
Simpson racing seatbelts, a wood-rimmed Factory Five sports
steering wheel, a Hurst short-throw shifter, and a dash full of
AutoMeter gauges. And Cobra people know to look for the details,
like the reversed speedometer. Plus, there are a few extra knobs on
the dash you don't see on many Cobras. It's for the cold-blowing
R134a air conditioning - a truly rare and useful feature.
You can tell there's a lot going on under the hood. This is a 347
cubic-inch stroker V8. It's a fuel injected machine that includes a
Powerdyne 9lb supercharger... and that's just the beginning of this
car's performance story. The V8 has been enhanced and fortified
with a F303 performance camshaft, Edelbrock Torker II 302 intake,
30lb fuel injectors, 70MM mass air flow meter, a high capacity fuel
pump, and an aluminum radiator w/dual fans. The full package has a
chip tune to make the most out of the powerful setup. The result is
a 425 hp lightweight juggernaut that you can hang a license plate
on the back. The Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission with
performance clutch gives you full control of all the power, and
those side pipes love to sing a high-octane symphony. The chassis
is a strong powder-coated tubular steel frame. And while you're
checking that out in the undercarriage photos, don't forget to spot
the upgraded tubular control arm front end, triangulated four-link
rear, adjustable coilovers, and front disc brakes.
Complete with build receipts, this is the slick shining Cobra with
the extra power and comfort you thought you'd never find. So don't
let this slip away. Call today!!!
