Here is a beautiful example of an adult owned, lightly driven and
pampered Corvette ZO6. With only 13,000 original miles, 1 owner,
and a clean CARFAX, this Corvette is in goregeous condition. That,
combined with the Z06 package which brings a 7.0L V-8 and a 6-speed
manual transmission, makes this car an absolute blast to drive and
an outstanding value. We challenge you to find a better performance
car for the money! The C6 Corvette (6th generation) and new Z06
arrived as a 2006 model in the third quarter of 2005. It has a 7.0
L version of the small block engine codenamed LS7. At 427.6 cubic
inches, the Z06 was the largest small block ever offered from
General Motors. Because of the Corvette's former use of 427
cubic-inch big blocks in the late-1960s and early 1970s, the LS7's
size was rounded down to 427 cubic inches. Official output was 505
bhp (377 kW) and has a 0-60 mph (97 km/h) time of 3.7 seconds. Top
speed is 198 mph (319 km/h). Another first for a Corvette, the Z06
featured a full aluminum chasis. The frame mirrored the C5/6
architecture but substituting aluminum hydroformed rails and
aluminum extrustions and castings fore and aft. This dropped weight
of the chassis from 419 to 287 pounds while improving its
stiffness. For 2008, the Corvette received a mild freshening. The
6-speed manual transmission has improved shift linkage while the
interior was slightly updated and a new 3LT interior package. The
wheels were also updated to a new five-spoke design. This Machine
Silver Metallic on black leather ZO6 is subtle, understated, albeit
a very attractive color combination. The paint and body work are
all original and excellent. We did not notice any scratches or
dents in the paint. However, the front plastic splitter below the
bumper is cracked (see photo). We love the addition of the 427
badging on the hood and the ZO6 insignia on the underside hood
insulation. We love the chromed five spoke wheel which pop against
the red calipers and silver paint. The interior of this ZO6 is
equally nice and free of virtually any blemishes. The leather is
soft and does not have any cracks or warped bolstering. All
interior bits are still held together solid, and the car does not
shake or rattle over bumps. All accessories and features work as
the should. Mechanically, this vehicle is also in great condition.
It is mostly stock with the exception of a cold air intake
(professionally installed by GM aftermarket) and a Wild & Mild
Remote Exhaust Control. The air intake is said to add an additional
20-30 hp. All fluids have been flushed and recently serviced,
though an oil change should be performed in about 3,000 miles. This
Corvette also has new brakes, rotors, and newer battery. All
service records and receipts are available. It's rare to find a Z06
that has been babied all its life. This car has never been raced,
driven hard, or seen a race track. Considering the condition, the
history, and performance numbers, this Z06 is an excellent value
for any car enthusiast. This vehicle is available for inspection at
