For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Impala in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

$60,000 was invested. Less then 3,000 miles since restored 6 years ago. Includes a folder stuffed with receipts. True Super Sport,168 code.

EXTERIOR: Professionally restored body, paint and trim. I'm standing next to it and it's gorgeous. Panels fit real nice. Look down either side, the black is like looking into a mirror. The silver metal flake is laid out evenly and everything has a glossy clear coat finish that's been polished. The two tone is broke up with red hand pinstripe. Jambs are painted and detailed. The cherry on the cake is the trim. It is all redone or replaced. Upfront the moldings, grill, bumper, bezels are like new. On each side it has new crossflag 396 emblems, SS emblems, bowtie mirrors and door handles. All the stainless trim around the windows is straight and polished. Vent windows are original and does have some pitting. In back the tail lights, trim, bumpers are all mint. Has bumper guards front and back. It rolls and a set of big chrome 17x10 inch Torque Thrust wheels with Nitto performance tires. New sill plates, weatherstrips and window seals. All the glass is clear, the windshield is new.

INTERIOR: Very well restored inside. All new white upholstery, there must be new cushions in the seats because the upholstery fits so nice. Even the seat backs and chrome trim is replaced. Everything on the door panels are new- cranks, handles, armrests. Overhead the visors and headliner are excellent. The rear shelf area is extra clean. The dash area is also mint- big clear lense, clean gauges, knobs, vents, heater controls. It has a very rare Multiplex stereo system which is cool but it's the modern stereo that is hooked up. Has remote control and 6x9 speakers.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 454-450 hp big block with a set of dual quads on top. Completely rebuilt, has itemized receipt. Aluminum Edelbrock intake has been painted orange, has two new Edelbrock carbs, custom fuel line and fittings and electric choke. Also upgraded with HEI ignition system and headers. Dressed up with some chrome valve covers, bracket, alternator, pulleys etc. The power steering and power brake units are chromed. New radiator, shroud, fan and polished overflow bottle. Wiper motor looks new, squirters are hooked up. Has original glass bottle for extra washer fluid. Has factory air conditioning system that looks complete. Bottom of the hood is painted as slick as the outside of the car. It is a nice looking compartment.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Ginormous trunk compartment. The metal is perfectly clean, I don't see any signs of patches or rust. Has a really nice spatter finish paint. The jamb and bottom of the lid are gloss black. Includes jack & spare. It also has a CD changer and original metal fender skirts. New weatherstrip and insulation behind the seat. Overall very clean and tidy.

UNDERSIDE: Very clean. New suspension- springs, shocks (air shocks in back). Front end was completely rebuilt, new swaybar bushings. Bottom of the motor is clean, has extra capacity oil pan. It's original Turbo 400 automatic trans was rebuilt, receipt included. Original 12 bolt rear end in back was rebuilt also. Very clean floors have a thin black undercoat. Frame is cleaned and painted semi gloss black. Has new dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers.

This is a sharp looking, very nicely restored SS. I have always been a fan of the fastback design. It's a full size car with good looks. This is a lot of car for the money!
