Vehicle Description
Did you miss our opportunity at the Special Edition 427 Super
Snake? Want another chance? This low-mileage 2008 Ford Mustang
Shelby GT500 Super Snake remains exceptionally fresh in every way -
from the vibrant red, to the two-tone leather interior. And yes,
the Supercharged V8 Is ready to make this instant collectable also
a juggernaut of the streets.
The Super Snake is a true professionally built muscle machine.
Those with a deep passion for a blue oval, and even deeper pockets,
could have a GT500 transformed into one of the most powerful and
highly sought-after Mustangs to ever hit the streets. And as you
may notice from the badging, this one is the extra-special 427
edition, which pays tribute to the legendary V8 displacement with
only 427 examples made (this is #200.) The custom upgrades to the
exterior made sure everyone knows this was the king above the King
of the Road models. It has a special fiberglass Super Snake hood
that looks like it can swallow its victims whole. There's a new
front fascia with deeper ducts and a larger bodykit - now made of
carbon fiber. Side ducts cover the rear windows to pay homage to
the original GT500. This airflow package is completed in the rear
with a spoiler on top, and there's a functional splitter down low
with the dual exhaust. If you're a lover of brightwork, then you
still get it on this one. But, it remains functional on features
like the hood pins and an exclusive set of Alcoa 20-inch forged
alloy wheels. But your favorite aggressive touch is probably the
bright white stripes against the vivid Torch Red. This factory
paint still looks terrific, because this example has averaged less
than 1,500 miles annually.
The upgrades found their way into the interior, too. The deeply
sculpted leather GT500 seats now have red inserts and wear the
exclusive 427 embroidery on the headrests. The same logo are on the
special floor mats. You pay a hefty premium for the GT500, so you
got premium features such as air conditioning, power windows, power
locks, keyless entry/alarm, power driver's seat, power steering,
cruise control, tilt wheel, dual airbags, and side airbags. Plus,
the audio system is the optional AM/FM/CD/XM touchscreen
infotainment unit with satellite navigation. You know this is a
special Super Snake, not only because of the individually numbered
plaque on the dash, but also because of the Ford Performance
shifter below it and the AutoMeter Shelby full gauge package above
it.
As much as we all love the interior and exterior upgrades, it's
what's under the hood that keeps us all salivating. The GT500's
supercharged DOHC 5.4-liter V8 was upgraded even more and Shelby
squeezed more power out of the whole package. There were also
upgrades like the Kook's long tube headers and a 3-inch cat back
Magnaflow exhaust (almost a $3k investment alone) to allow this
Super Snake to exhale with more power and authority. And you're in
full control of it all with the Tremec six-speed manual
transmission on a short-throw shifter. Of course, power is nothing
without control. That's why it's running an upgraded Ford Racing
suspension, including dynamic adjustable dampers, lowered springs,
tuned stabilizer bars, and front strut tower brace. There's also
vented disc brakes at every corner, backed up by super sticky
Pirelli P-Zero tires.
The car comes with paperwork like the owner's manual, reproduction
window sticker, and a dyno sheet. Plus, there are nice accessories,
like two Shelby jackets, additional floor mats, a car cover, and
special bottle of tequila. So if you missed the opportunity at a
427 Super Snake a decade ago, rarely do you get a second chance
like this. Don't miss out, call today!
