Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 21st year in the
classic and muscle car business. When Pontiac named its muscle car
progenitor the GTO in 1964, the purists among the wine and cheese
crowd sneered. GTO stands for Gran Turismo Omologato, or Grand
Tourer Homologated, and Pontiac had no intentions of racing their
GTO. Besides, Ferrari had already named their legendary
sports-racer the 250 GTO because it actually had to pass
homologation, or certified as meeting series specifications. But
Pontiac's GTO appealed to a burgeoning market of young buyers, and
by the end of the 1960's those three letters meant American muscle
to most enthusiasts. Our Orbit Orange 1970 GTO is an outstanding
example from the height of the muscle car era which Pontiac had
launched. Beneath the aggressive looking hood lurks 400 cubic
inches of numbers matching (VD 20P274567, Code YS) Pontiac V8.
Additional features and options include power steering, power front
disc brakes, air conditioning, console, rear wing, hood mounted
tachometer, AM radio, and Rally II wheels. This car is a real GTO
(242) with some Judge equipment upgrades, and the colors have been
changed (thank God!) from Sierra Yellow with green (!) trim to
Orbit Orange with white trim. As can be seen in the images, the
immaculate chassis detailing is show quality. Your Orbit Orange
rocket is ready and waiting for blast-off! Street Dreams is a full
service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery,
insurance, and financing options.
