Vehicle Description
What makes a top pedigree classic? Nice V8 power? A butter-smooth
body with something new to see on every inch? A custom-built
interior? A fully coordinated build where even places where most
people don't see follow the color theme? Well, it's all that and a
lot more that makes this 1957 Ford F-100 a one-of-a-kind that
you'll never forget.
No expense was spared in taking this pickup to the ultimate level.
Let's start with the most obvious part of this car, the spectacular
paintwork. The burgundy and champagne give this a immediate
upper-class presence to make sure everyone knows this F-Series has
left its workman roots behind long ago. We especially like the way
the champagne upper section has a golden glow of a quality metallic
finish. These are separated by a double set of red pinstripes with
a luminescent foil in-between. Since this extends through the door
jambs, you know they spent a small fortune on the paint alone. Even
the Ford lettering in the tailgate was done to match. Then the
whole package was cleared over to deliver something that's smooth,
shining, and absolutely attention-grabbing. The color-matched
tonneau was even flush-mounted to make sure the custom truck looks
sleek. Adding to this bright overall package are the chrome
bumpers, clear headlights, and polished 20-inch Boyd Coddington
wheels. The detail work is amazing with everything from the Ford
lightning bolt emblems in the doors, to the custom exhaust
centrally integrated right below the tailgate. And the full air
ride suspension means you dial-in whatever stance you want to show
off this whole package.
Pop the remote door openers to reveal a full custom interior. The
exterior maroon returns on the door tops and dash, and now it's
joined by two tones of tasteful tan. You get a high-back seating
with a fold-down center console. It was borrowed from a much later
F-150 and then re-covered in a supple leather to coordinate with
the door panels. There are ton of great comfort features, including
power windows, cruise control, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and provisions
for R134a air conditioning. The dash even nicely integrates your
control for the air ride suspension. It's a driver-oriented setup
with a leather wrapped steering wheel mounted on a tilt column.
This gives you to a clear view to the full AutoMeter Pro-Comp gauge
panel with large speedo and tach.
The engine bay is dressed to impress. The 292 cubic-inch V8 that
has been given the same level of top-quality work as the rest of
the car. So the super-smooth inner fenders and firewall are looking
awesome as they funnel your attention to the shining motor in the
middle. We dare you to find another component that can be polished
on this award-worthy package. This is a year-correct block, and it
earns those Thunderbird valve covers by sharing the same
displacement as that porthole icon. And this motor was also made to
move. That's why you have an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, MSD
ignition, and headers feeding the sweet-sounding dual exhaust. As
you look underneath this truck, it has the kind of polished and
color-matched presentation that will have you putting a mirror
underneath at car shows. Plus, you'll also spot nice suspension
pieces like the tubular A-arm front end and four-link rear with
stabilizer link. Plus, there's power steering, power brakes with
discs up front, and a three-speed automatic transmission featuring
Gear Vendors overdrive to make to make it easy to show this one off
near or far.
