According to the original body tag, VIN tag, and Protect-O-Plate,
138176F113879 was completed in the second week of October 1965 at
the Flint, Michigan plant as a 1966 SS396 Sport Coupe in Lemonwood
Yellow over Ivory Vinyl bucket seats, with tinted windshield,
comfort and convenience group, automatic "Powerglide" transmission,
center console, rear antenna and rear speaker. Helen Cassida of
Indianapolis, Indiana purchased the Chevelle new through Jim Harris
Chevrolet-Buick of Greencastle, IN on January 1, 1966. The car
eventually made its way East, and more recently, under the care of
a prominent Florida physician.
Now wearing period correct Marina Blue paintwork, the Chevelle
would receive a significant amount of mechanical servicing, upkeep
and repairs over the last 5 years under previous ownership. Over
$46,500 invested, with all records on hand. This includes attention
to all auxiliary systems and components, along with tasteful blend
of period and contemporary upgrades for modern drivability,

as does a period style and a sporty modern steering wheel.
A very well balanced and mannered SS396, this Chevelle can easily
be driven by all drivers, with creature comforts and handling to
tackle limitless roads and conditions. The car is complete with 3
sets of keys, its original 1966 glove compartment booklet with
affixed and VIN-matched Protect-O-Plate, both original 1966
Chevrolet and Chevelle Owner's Guides, original 1966 Custom
Accessories catalog and original 1966 Chevelle Dealer Brochure -
all contained within the original plastic pouch. Additionally, the
luggage compartment contains a spare tire assembly, jack and
