This Guards Red 1983 Porsche 911SC Coupe is one of only 2,559 US Spec Coupes built. This car is number 2407 making it one of the last 911SC's built for North America. This car was purchased new by a pilot in Texas who would own the car from 1983 until 1992 and put on roughly 30,000 miles in his ownership. The car was sold to an FBI Agent in Ft. Lauderdale whose focus was counterfeit currency. He would own the car from 1992-1996. He sold the car locally to Edward Dalesio 1996. According to receipts from 1996 the car had 56,000 miles at the time. Mr. Dalesio would own the car for 4 years until 2000 when it was sold to Thomas Biddulph of Dania Beach, FL. The current owner has spoken to Mr. Biddulph and Mr. Dalesio. Both owners enjoyed this vehicle and were able to supply some documentation as well as some photographs from the late 1990's/ early 2000's. There are many receipts for work done to the car from Mr. Dalesio and Mr. Biddulph's ownership. In 2003 the car was repainted in the original color. The car would stay with Mr. Biddulph until 2004 when it was purchased by Marvin Freels of Melbourne, FL with 88,000 miles. He would go on to own the car for 15 years before selling to current owner. Under Mr. Freels' ownership, the car was serviced by VertexAuto Porsche Specialist in Miami (see receipts for new clutch, flywheel, ignition, alternator, etc.)

Current owner purchased the car in summer of 2019 and has spent nearly $20,000 in recent total rebuilds, upgrades and parts. Upon delivery of the car it received brand new Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires and was driven to shop for suspension work and simple mechanical work. While there it was noticed that there were 4 broken head studs ( a common SC problem). Once the suspension was finished, the car was taken to air-cooled specialist Scott Kamrath of Scottshop Porsche Repair in Sarasota, FL to diagnose the issue. It was decided that rather than just a top-end rebuild that a full engine rebuild was to be done in a "while you're in there" sort of mentality. Over 4 weeks time the motor was rebuilt and upgraded with Carrera style timing chain tensioners, 134a A/C system, new timing chain and gears, main bearing kit, #8 bearing, rod bearing set, intermediate gears and connecting rods. The cylinder heads were sent out for rebuilding, cleaned the pistons and cylinders, replaced rings, and replaced all gaskets and seals. Documentation for all 2019 work is documented by paperwork and many photos. Odometer shows 101,000 mile with only about five hundred miles on rebuild engine.

The car runs and drives very well. The 915 transmission shifts nicely and has less than 1,500 miles on the new clutch. The floors are in excellent rust free condition. The paint shows well but has some light orange peel on the doors. A few minor chips on the front from being driven. The interior is very clean as seats were reupholstered in black leather in 2003. The dash is original and has just one small crack on driver side. The headliner is also original and has a small tear above rear seat on the driver side. The A/C blows cold and has been upgraded to 134a compressor. The steering wheel is a Momo sport wheel. The original steering wheel was replaced under previous ownership and was lost.
