for Sale. Unique and stunning best describes this Rod! It is clear
to see the degree of engineering to produce this remarkable Street
Rod. A fiberglass body and running boards with a removable one
piece fiberglass roof covered in black canvas to achieve a
Convertible effect. It has a metal hood and side panels which when
opened can be supported in their up position for displaying the
engine compartment. The suicide doors close and sound like a steel
car, solid and close firmly. This Custom Ride can either appear as
a great little Pickup or with the top removed to make it a Fun
Roadster! Either way, it's a head turner! Powered by basically a
Corvette drive line, 327 Cu In V8 with Edelbrock polished aluminum
intake and carb, finned aluminum valve covers and air breather, all
polished billet and chrome pulleys and brackets and headers into a
dual custom stainless steel exhaust system. A Turbo 400 automatic
transmission moves the power through to the chromed independent
rear end and suspension. A vehicle that frequented the ISCA Show
Circuit, it has a clear glass panel in the bed's wood floor to
reveal the intricate workmanship in putting the Corvette rear end
and suspension in place. A highly painted and detailed
undercarriage is finished to show quality as is the rest of the
vehicle. This responsive truck is slowed down by 4 wheel disc brake
system. The interior is finished in a light tan color including
carpets, door panels and a pair of beautiful high back Recaro
bucket seats with built-in head rests. Classic Instruments Gauges
supplies the driver with what's happening under the hood. A Lecarra
wood grain steering wheel and exterior color keyed floor shifter
completes the interior. A Legacy AM/FM cassette stereo sits hidden
in the glove box to provide the sounds. This Street Rod's
appearance is enhanced by a set of staggered 18"/20" Bonspeed
polished aluminum wheels carrying Ventus radials. The front in
215/40ZR 18" while the rear has 275/35ZR 20". Other subtle features
of this Roadster Pickup include the highly finished wood bed with
chrome bed rails and a pair of Wind Wings extending from the front
windshield. These assist in stopping the air from buffeting it's
occupants which is a thoughtful and functional addition to the
truck's overall appearance. Lastly are the chromed '34 Grille and
"Big" headlights which complete the entire look of this Awesome
Ride!
