PHS documented- real GTO born a 4-speed with ride & handling, 3.23
posi, console, rally gauges and much more. Factory Fontaine blue.
Upgraded with a tri-power and white interior. This is a beautiful
car with great features. Not a nut and bolt restoration, but a
clean honest car.
EXTERIOR: Absolutely stunning color combination. I am a sucker for
dark blue. This one has some sparkle and a glossy clear coat
finish. Polished out smoothly. Has long flat sides, look down
either side and they're straight. It's smooth along the bottoms.
The chrome and trim on the car is bright and straight, looks
original. The bumpers fit the body real nice. The windshield is
new. It has the Rally 1 wheels, which are correct for a 1965. The
BFGoodrich tires are fairly new. The white convertible power top is
in very nice shape. The driver door glass has been scratched.
Weatherstrips were replaced. Overall it's a looker, not pristine
but will still make people say "wow".
INTERIOR: The bucket seats have been reupholstered, the rear seat
has been dyed. Door panels replaced. Has factory rally gauges in
the dash and a vacuum gauge on the original 4-speed console. Has a
retro stereo in the in the factory hole with kick panel speakers
and speakers in the two rear panels. Upgraded walnut steering
wheel.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has a Pontiac 400 motor with tri-power carbs.
You can hear it when all 3 carbs open, you will feel it too! You
have to have tri-power because everyone asks "does it have
tri-power under the hood?" Has power steering. The engine bay is
very respectable, has hood insulation, fan shroud, chrome
alternator.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Big clean trunk compartment with a nice spatter
finish paint. Complete with a jack, spare tire, mat and tire
cover.
UNDERSIDE: Factory features include the ride and handling, 3.23
posi rear, quick ratio steering and it has original M20 Muncie
4-speed dated to this car. The floors look to be very dry metal. It
has new springs and shocks, air shocks in back. Floors are solid
metal.
65 GTO is one of my favorites, better act fast before I decide to
grab it. Love the clean looks, stacked headlights and sleak
taillights. Finding these features and colors again won't be
easy.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
