This is a very nicely equipped 40th Anniversary Corvette Coupe. We have the original window sticker that lists all of the equipment and options. When new, the MSRP was right at $40,000.
Now that the car is 27 years old and has 103,674 adult-driven miles on it, it is priced right at 25% of the new price. Yet, it is in fantastic condition, look wonderful and is truly a blast to drive.
It is completely original. The Ruby Red Metallic paint looks great. There are just a few minor touch-ups that are impossible to see. The Ruby Red Leather interior is in fantastic condition, without a flaw to disclose. The chrome wheels are brilliant and have the appropriate 40th Anniversary center caps. The car performs exceptionally well. It is truly a great car at an entry-level price.
The 300HP injected 350 starts and runs great. There are no signs of abuse, wear or neglect. It does not smoke or leak. The clutch was just replaced, both the master and the slave cylinders. The six speed transmission behaves just as it should. I am telling you, it is a blast to drive! It will set you back in the seat!
There are many great features such as power steering and brakes, power windows and locks, tilt steering, climate control, air conditioning, rear defogger, cruise control, remote dual outside mirrors, remote power hatch release and six-way power seats. This car has the Adjustable Performance and Handling package, independent front suspension, four wheel disc brakes, 5 link rear suspension, halogen fog and head lights. Those shiny chrome wheels are wrapped with Z rated 275/40/17 tires that are in great condition. It has the fancy Bose stereo sound system featuring AM/FM and Cassette.
All features work properly. There is a jack, spare and lug wrench. The original owner’s manual and window sticker are present. Even the ratchet wrench used to remove the roof panel is present. We have both sets of original keys with the ignition keys being computer chipped.
In truth, there is nothing to disclose. While not a new car, this car has only very minimal flaws. It is a lot of fun at an entry level price. You have to feel bad for the original owner who paid $40,000. But feel good for yourself!
