Vehicle Description
1968 VW Type 3 Squareback - Full Body off Restoration - Rebuilt
1600cc Engine - New EMPI Exhaust - Like new interior - (Please

website: Garage Kept Motors.) Here's a classic VW that's just a
little different than the much more common Beetle, a Type 3
Squareback. Aircooled like the Beetle, and consisting of parts from
VW's simple parts bin, this fun Squareback has undergone a recent
body off restoration. The car was painted a Dark Cherry metallic
color although it looks as though the car was originally yellow.
Fiberglass bumpers which were painted body color, body moldings
were deleted, LED turn signals at the front of the car, and front
and rear light bezels painted body color are the changes to the
original layout of the exterior. Baby Moon hub caps are mounted on
freshly powder coated wheels, which is in keeping with the classic
look of this squareback. The interior of the car is extremely nice
and features a new dash pad, carpeting, headliner, and seat covers.
The door panels are new, as are all window and door seals. At the
rear of the car a rebuilt 1600cc engine mounted to a 4 speed manual
transmission. A SCAT cam, distributor, fuel pump, fan belt, plug
wires and plugs are notable items added during the engine rebuild.
New Shocks, and new brake lines/hoses were added to the chassis.
Twin Weber carbs are hard to miss when looking in the engine bay,
and a new EMPI quad tip exhaust is hard to miss when looking at the
exterior of the car. Featuring fresh paint, a rebuilt engine, an
extremely nice interior, and a design featuring hard, angular lines
which are the opposite of the classic Beetle, this is a car for any
air cooled VW enthusiast to consider for their collection. Be sure
