painted in a gloss Desert Beige with white side stripes and roof.
This generation of trucks were leaner, more sculpted, roomier and
offered more power than the previous generation. They upgraded from
the straight 6 cylinder to a 283 V8 and this one in particular has
the High Torque 283 option from a '63 which has a 2 barrel
carburetor and an oil bath air cleaner. That was the same engine
that powered the corvette of that same year. The 3 speed on the
tree offers an antique impression of the shifting of the vehicle.
