Corvette in spectacular condition with only 21,705 miles. This C5
Corvette is completely "turn key," everything on the car works, and
it needs nothing. I would not hesitate to hop in this car right now
and drive across the country. The Torch Red (70) over Light Oak
Leather (67) color combination is highly desirable, truly striking,
and looks great on this C5 body style. It is also the correct and
original color scheme as verified by the codes on the service
sticker, which is pictured in this ad. Besides the beautiful color,
this Corvette is absolutely loaded with sought-after options such
as Heads Up Display (HUD), polished wheels, sport seats, CD player,
memory package, dual zone automatic digital climate control,
automatic transmission, and much much more.
I have put about 800 miles on this car in the past month. The car
was an absolute pleasure to drive, had no issues at all, and was
flawlessly reliable. I have personally known this Corvette for
almost its entire life. I first purchased the car in 2004. I owned
it for a few months and then sold it to local woman. She owned the
car for a couple of years until she sold it to my cousin. He owned
the car for the majority of its life until he purchased a new
Corvette this year. When he received his new Corvette we purchased
the car from him. The previous owners have been car collectors that
took excellent care of this Corvette.
The car comes with both original key fob remotes, two sets of keys,
the original owners manual, and books. It also has the original
cargo net that has never been used.
We have this Corvette priced to sell and are offering an excellent
opportunity to own a very desirable C5 at an unbeatable value. One
could buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price
in years to come as the market on C5 Corvettes has really turned
the corner and started to rise recently. C5 Corvettes have gone
from simply being older used to cars to become a collectable
classics. This is especially true for exceptionally clean, low
mileage, original, unmodified, and premium examples like this
Corvette.
The very low original mileage is verified not only by the condition
of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad,

Exterior
The Torch Red exterior is in excellent condition. As one can see in
the photos, the finish has dazzling gloss, smooth finish, and deep
shine. Both doors open and shut nicely and the car exhibits great
body panel fit overall. It has never been in any kind of accident.
We have seen no paint lines, overspray or other signs of paintwork
at all. The original polished aluminum wheels are in great
condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. Please note
that these are the factory polished wheels, not the cheaper
aftermarket chrome replacements the quickly pit and corrode. The
Cooper tires are literally brand new with less than 20 miles on
them and are correctly sized 245/45R17 in the front and 275/40R18
in the rear. This Corvette has always been stored indoors and as
one can see in the many photos of the underside this C5 is very
clean underneath.
The car look just as good in person as it does in the photos.
Interior
The Light Oak Leather interior of the Corvette is in fantastic
condition. The sport seats look great with no rips or split seams.
The seats are not overly worn in the typical area on the bolster
where the driver gets in and out. Please note that these are the
original seats and skins, not some cheap aftermarket covers. The
gauge faces are clean and crisp and the lenses are clear. The
carpet is in also in excellent condition with no stains, rips, or
holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The
factory radio works and sounds great; most importantly the dash has
never been cut or modified for an installation. The dash and
console are in great shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage.
This Corvette has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks
and no aroma of cigarettes.
Corvette interiors from this era are not known to wear well and the
excellent condition of this all original interior is a huge
testament to the meticulous care and attention this Corvette has
received throughout its life.
The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the
photos.
Mechanical
This Corvette is in wonderful mechanical condition. As stated above
I have recently put about 800 on this car with no problems at all.
The LS1 engine starts right away every time, runs great, and idles
smooth. The car drives magnificently and feels nice on the road and
at highway speeds, it drives just as well as you would expect from
a well maintained sports car with very low mileage. In the video
below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to
about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight,
and going through some curves. Please note that there are no
strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well
overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or
the other. The transmission shifts well throughout the power band.
This Corvette has plenty of power and is very fast. Also, the
engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as
one can see in the photos. The car is completely stock, has no
modification, and it totally unmolested.
Every feature and option on this car works properly including the
radio, the exterior lights, dash lights, power seats in all
directions, power mirrors in all directions, horn, wipers, and
indicators. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds.
The a/c itself works and blows cold. All of the gauges work. Not
enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this
car, especially with the targa top out on a beautiful day.
The car runs and drives as well as it looks.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 2002 Corvette looks fantastic and is in excellent
driver condition. The beautiful original color combination,
excellent condition, and the very low original mileage make this C5
especially important and very hard to duplicate. In my opinion and
based on our experience the fifth generation C5 Corvettes from
1997-2004 are rising in value and are becoming classics. This is
especially true for premium and low mileage examples like this C5.
The value of these cars is going up and they are solid investments
for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several
years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal
effort.
