Custom-built specially for the Elkhart Collection, this unique
street rod was constructed by the famed Brizio Street Rods of South
San Francisco, California. It utilizes a custom boxed frame
equipped with polished Kugel independent front and rear suspension,
coil-over shocks, rack-and-pinion steering, and chromed Wilwood
11-inch disc brake assemblies. Ample motivation is provided by a
345 bhp V-8 from a 2017 Ford Mustang Boss 302 with Edelbrock
aluminum intake and four-barrel carburetor mated to a five-speed
Tremec gearbox and sending its power to a Kugel 3.7 9-inch Ford
rear axle.
The body is an innovative all-steel unit built using modern OEM
manufacturing processes by the American Speed Company of Plymouth,
Michigan. It is completed with a stamped steel grille shell, an
aluminum hood, and "chopped" windshield frame and convertible top
bows, the latter covered by a custom-fit Haartz Stayfast top. The
exceptional paint job was performed by Darryl Hollenbeck's Vintage
Color Studio in House of Kolor McLaren Dark Tangerine Kandy, with
the chassis smoothed and finished to match. Sid Chavers finished
the interior with fully custom door panels and seats upholstered in
caramel leather, accented by Classic instruments and a subtle
Vintage Air air-conditioning system. Only the best trim details and
accessories were sourced throughout for a cohesive design that is
truly spectacular.
This may be the only true street rod in the Elkhart Collection, but
in its quality of design, construction, and presentation, it is
absolutely faithful to the standard set by its brethren in the
stable. It is a "best of its kind" custom, finished and maintained
to the highest standard and built with no expense spared. To view
