Vehicle Description
The two-tone look makes this 1984 Chevrolet C10 Silverado give the
first impression of a vintage workhorse. But with an upgraded A/C
interior, overdrive transmission, and fuel-injected 5.3L V8 power
under the hood, you can really see that this has really been
upgraded to deliver a total package pickup.
The paint makes a very cool first impression. The factory-correct
Colonial Yellow and Frost White was given a professional respray in
2014. The result is a classic style that gives off a hint of newer
luster. And it's great to have pinstriping and the Silverado's
premium trim providing well-defined dividing line for the two
colors all over the truck. These same pieces also help to highlight
how straight the panels are, which gives off the proper impression
of a well-cared for pickup. Plus, there's something quite nice
about this truck's ready-to-work attitude. There are running light
above the cab, more below the tailgate, a step bumper with trailer
hitch, bed rails, and locking tool box.
Inside is the right mix of originality and solid upgrades. The
exterior yellow returns on the lower dash and upper door panels.
Now that's joined by a tasteful tan on the bench seat, door panels,
dash pad, and carpeting. There are plenty of the features you want,
like power windows, power locks, and the sliding rear glass. The
dash of these C10s are terrific for surrounding the driver like a
sports car. It makes upgrades like the modern AM/FM/CD stereo w/USB
and R134a air conditioning controls within easy reach.
While the upgrades so far have been subtle, it's hard to hide the
one in the engine bay. You're going to lift the hood at car shows
and watch as people marvel at the modern 5.3-liter fuel injected V8
that's been neatly installed under the hood. They went the right
extra steps to make this upgrade feel at home in this classic,
right down to the proper OBD-II input for easy diagnostics. The V8
fires up like a modern fuel-injected machine should. It inhales
deeply with the Spectre air intake, and it exhales with authority
out long tube headers feeding a Flowmaster dual exhaust. The power
steering and power brakes w/discs up front make for an
easy-cruising pickup. Plus, the 4L60E four-speed automatic
transmission designed for these Vortec motors was also added, so
you get highway-friendly overdrive.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the vintage truck upgraded to
be a nice modern driver for near or far. So at a price like this,
you know you need to hurry if you want to take it home. Call
