For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Apex, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

CMC is pleased to have this Factory RS Z-28 that is fully documented in our new showroom. This rare RS/Z28 was sold new by House Chevrolet to Mr. James Weber. The car was stored in a barn for 30 years prior to the rotisserie restoration. This is a complete numbers matching car from front to back. The car was restored to the exact original details.

Powered by the original numbers matching DZ 302 High Performance engine and backed by the original 4-Speed close ratio manual transmission. This car is very correct right down to the original Holley Carburetor (3923289-DZ). The original engine stamp read V1120DZ 19N555559. The Trim Tag is the original and denotes the car to be code 65 Olympic Gold (upper/lower) with Black deluxe interior.

Ownership history is very important when taking such a rare car into account. This Real RS/Z-28 has all of the ownership history back to the original owner. The car has had four owners from new and all are accounted for.

Documentation includes the original orders invoice showing the original owner, Title transfer application from 1979 showing the second owner, Original owners manual, Dealers jacket, maintenance receipts, restoration receipts, and the list of owners back to the original.

Options directly from the original order invoice include:

Rally Sport Equipment Package
Z-28 Performance Package
Special ducted hood
4-Speed Close Ratio Manual Transmission
Posi-Traction Rear end
Special Instrumentation
Factory Tachometer and gauge package
Air Spoiler Equipment
Rose Wood Sport Steering Wheel
Center console

Total price of all options when new was $4,145.60.

A Rotisserie restoration was just completed in 2019 back to original specs. No expenses were spared in the restoration as it was very comprehensive. The chassis was removed from the sub-frame and it was restored. All new brake lines, fuel lines, suspension components, new brakes, body mounts, bushing, new exhaust, new shocks, etc. were used to make this car truly a new car again. The body was stripped down to the metal and repainted in the original color code 65 Olympic Gold. An all new interior was redone in the original trim code 712 Black Deluxe interior. The numbers matching engine was fully rebuilt by a very well known engine builder in Raleigh. The original 4-Speed transmission was also rebuilt and a new clutch and fly wheel was installed. Along with that, the rear end was completely rebuilt as well. As you can see, no expenses were spared during this restoration. All restoration receipts will be provided to the new owner.

If you are in the market for a true RS Z28 with the original drive train, you have found. This is a very hard car to replace and we have it priced very modest for what it is. Please call us with any questions and we will be happy to help!
