1956 Porsche Speedster - Outlaw
VIN 82851 completed December 21, 1956
Very early T1 Beehive Speedster built for the 1957-year model. Same
owner for the past 25 years who purchased this Speedster from the
Norm Kaiser Collection who had this 356 since the early 1980s.
Finished in a beautiful color combination Slate Gray (single-stage
Glasurit) with a Navy Blue interior. Very straight body with great
gaps and panel fit. Options include two tops, a Glasspar style
hardtop finished in black, a high bow soft top finished in black
cloth by Autos International, GT style louvered rear deck lid,
Spyder steering wheel, pickle fork wiper blades, GT style rims -
custom Billet alloy rims (15" x 5.5"), Vredstein 185/70 tires,
Bullet lug nuts, front sway bar, Koni shocks, and a 741 short shift
linkage.
The driveline has been upgraded with a powerful 100-horsepower 912
engine (type 616/36), rebuilt for longevity & performance using the
best components by Tollie Keller. A late 741 manual 4-speed
transmission (# 70907) was rebuilt by Airport Air-cooled with a
tall 4th gear for freeway driving. A ZF steering box was installed
along with 356C four-wheel disc braking system.
Some of the details include Victor Miles restored T1 square door
handles and the shine down license plate light and the gauges have
been restored by Palo Alto Speedometer. A new wiring harness was
installed, all of the electrical components have been converted to
a 12-volt system, LED lighting and NOS switches.
Everything has been replaced with NOS parts or restored. This
Speedster drives like a dream and connects you to the road like no
other car, very fun to drive with plenty of power, smooth shifting
transmission, and great braking. If you have been after a fun
