Up for sale is an incredibly clean, rare, and beautiful 1984 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler SR. This very low-mileage, very well kept Jeep has been repainted in the past few years but it hasn't been "restored" in the sense of the word. It's one of the nicest basically original Scramblers in existence today. I've owned it for the past 4.5 years and I've replaced numerous items on it with mostly NOS and OEM parts. In no particular order I've replaced the following: battery, radiator, radiator hoses/clamps, body stripes, bed rails, spare tire cover, tail lights, turn signal lenses (amber), headlights, hood catches, front bumper, rear bumper, floor mats, radio, radio speakers, bed mat, fog lights (OEM Jeep TJ), valve cover, body emblems (except for the OEM Scrambler emblems), rear view mirrors, exhaust system, and the owner's manual. I've done the following services to it within the past year: new spark plugs, front differential service, rear differential service, transfer case service, alignment, brake fluid flush, power steering flush, and coolant flush. The automatic transmission was fully and professionally rebuilt in 2017 and works flawlessly. This Scrambler has the 252 inline 6 cylinder engine and factory air conditioning which works well. This amazing Jeep was formerly owned by country music star Alan Jackson who owned it from 1996-2016. Alan used it on his ranch, I've been told, to haul bales of hay. I've got color copies of the TN title with Alan's name on it and some other various related Alan Jackson documents that will go to the new owner. This stunning CJ8 was professionally appraised in 2018 and came in at just under $39 K. But because I'm motivated (I don't want to sell it but I've got some personal issues to deal with) I'm selling it for less than the 2018 appraised value, although my price is FIRM. It will likely appraise for over $42 K in 2021. There are more expensive Scramblers for sale (some on this site) out there you can buy but none are nicer or more exclusive than this one. The celebrity factor alone attached to this Scrambler will almost guarantee that it will only go up in value over the years as long as it's kept in good, original condition. And it's fun to drive! :) The top and doors come off and the windshield lays down flat for some amazing open-air motoring! This vehicle is basically rust-free (there's a little surface rust on the leaf springs) and has been kept in a locked garage most of the time that I've owned it. I get lots of stares and lots of compliments from lots of people when I take this Jeep out for an occasional spin! If you don't like attention don't buy this Scrambler. :) Please don't bother with any low ball offers. I know what I've got here and I know what it's worth so let's not waste anyone's time or hurt anyone's feelings please.
