This is not a numbers matching vehicle, but it is a true GTO. This car features:
* A period correct, rebuilt Pontiac 455 HO engine. Engine code XF. This is the legendary L75 engine. Look it up. Check out the enclosed photo of the engine code chart. This is the most powerful engine Pontiac built in 1970. It features 4 bolt main caps, and the high flow 64 heads. The engine codes show it was built in October, 1969, for the 1970 model year. The engine build code is J109. That means it was built on October 10, 1969. These engines were primarily used in Gran Prix vehicles, but some were used in GTO's. The 455 HO engine was rated at 370 HP. The engine features a RAM AIR 4 intake manifold, RAM AIR 3 cam, Harland Sharp aluminum roller rockers, and Hedman coated headers. This is a true RAM AIR system with working air intakes on the hood. The original Rochester Quadrajet 4bbl was rebuilt in 2019.

This car has been a labor of love to work on, and a blast to drive. There is still some minor fit and finish issues to work on, but I have cancer and will not be able to finish this build. I am 70 years old, so you can safely assume this car has not been abused, it is a cruiser and car show queen. Most people have never seen a 455 GTO, so it really turns heads. Cruising into the car shows with the cut outs open gets justified attention.
