A 2000 Ford F-150 Lightning SVT with its supercharged V8 is already
exciting, but you can tell there's even more going on here. The
electric-level custom paint and full custom interior turn this
speedy pickup into an all-out head-turner.
The two-tone instantly grabs your attention. This truck was born
Oxford White, and the paired it nicely with a metallic silver laid
on the top half. This is custom PPG Deltron Stage 3 paint with PPG
2021 clear. To give this a distinctive dividing line, there's a
blue stripe with a textured pattern and pinstripe border. So you
can really tell there was time, effort, and a big investment to
create something this unique (the owner is claiming over $22,000 in
paint work alone!). Plus, the billet grille, clear headlights,
clear taillights, and polished SVT wheels go quite well with the
special sporty body kit that came on these Lightnings. And the more
time you spend with this ford, the more impressive the details get.
For example, the plastic step panels on the side of the bed that
are usually black have been color-matched to the silver section.
And there's even subtle pinstriping on the hood and tailgate. The
level of customization and quality presentation really makes for
the kind of total impression you'd get from a show-ready custom
build, like a SEMA truck.
More of the outstanding customization continues inside. In fact,
you still get a two-tone theme with the silver now being joined by
a nice black on the leather seats. There's even blue stitching for
a bit of standout color (just like the exterior.) This has all the
best features, like power seats, power windows, power locks,
keyless entry/alarm, cup holders, dual airbags, cruise control, and
a custom armrest center console. The upgraded infotainment system
is an AM/FM/CD stereo with a touchscreen interface that includes a
back-up camera and Bluetooth. The steering wheel is an upgraded
Lincoln unit mounted on a tilt column, and it gives you a clear
view to the white-faced SVT gauges.
Under the hood is the fuel-injected 5.4-liter V8. And you'll notice
this has something on top: an Eaton supercharger. It's what made
the Lightnings so lightning-quick. This supercharger has an
upgraded pulley added with a custom tune by Ramsey Performance. The
current over has always used Mobil 1 full synthetic, and the tidy
look of the engine bay proves that this has been maintained with
care. Ford properly supported the upgrade to the lightning-fast
Lightning correctly with features like an aluminum driveshaft and a
heavy duty four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive. Add in
power steering, grippy Hankook Ventus ST tires, and four-wheel
power disc brakes w/ABS make this powerful pickup an easy driver,
too. The suspension is all new featuring Bell Tech drop spindles
and a rear shackle kit with shocks. Brakes were also just serviced
this year.
