Only 32,800 actual miles. Has documentation and owner history. Also
has original glovebox pouch with original manuals in mint shape. It
includes a supplemental Hurst manual and warranty booklet. Sold new
to Wade Bass in Kingsport TN May 22nd, 1973 At Cox Olds. Has
predelivery inspection sheet and the delivery sheet from the
transporter that delivered it new to the dealer. Sold in 1985 to
Robert Fuller in Virginia for $3,000. We have loan papers, copy of
check and odometer statement with 29,113 miles. In 1990 Linda
Fuller titled it with only 30,276 miles, marked as actual. On May
2nd 1997 Linda had the Virginia state inspection done and it had
only 32,507 miles. November 22nd, 2019 Linda sold the car and
signed off on the title with 32,860 miles. For what ever reason she
did not use the car at all.
In 1973 the Hurst Performance company built a limited edition
performance car on the Cutlass platform. Very rare car only 1,098
built and very few survived. I don't recall ever seeing one on
person. Not only is it a great looker but it is a performer too. It
included performance 455, special tuned Turbo 400 auto, posi rear
and rallye suspension. I personally drove it and it felt like a new
car. I'm very excited about this one.
EXTERIOR: Amazingly clean body. When I say laser straight I mean
it. All the panels fit really well, there is no rust whatsoever. It
was repainted once over 30 years ago and it still looks like a
mirror. There are some flaws if you look for them, standing next to
the car it is gorgeous. They were offered only white or black, this
one was born white and you would never know it. The Hurst features
include gold stripes, louvers on hood, landau top with Hurst logo
in quarter windows. It also features SS lll wheels in Hurst gold.
They are excellent. The tires are a few decades old at least with
excellent tread, this helps verify low miles. Another indicator of
low miles is the original windshield in excellent condition. The
moldings around the roof are excellent. Front and rear bumpers are
original and still look very nice. Door jambs are very nice,
weather strips are all soft.
INTERIOR: Very cool features like swivel seats and optional digital
tachometer. The original condition certainly supports the low
miles. It shows little to no wear. The sport wheel is always worn
smooth in every Olds I get, this one still has texture. The entire
dash area and console are excellent. All the knobs, dash pad,
instruments and trim is excellent. Has a tilt, factory gauges and
8-track radio with original Oldsmobile 8-track tape. Carpet is
excellent, new Hurst mats. Rear seat, package tray is mint. The
swivel seats have excellent cushions and are not worn but has age
cracks in the lower upholstery. Seatbacks are mint. The digital
Hurst tachometer is extremely rare, it was optional, not all Hurst
had them. This one has it but not functional. Of course it features
the Hurst dual gate shifter too. Seatbelts are excellent.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has the VIN number match 455. Used as a show
car a long time ago it has a few upgrades. Some parts have been
chromed. Has vintage M/T valve covers. Also upgraded with an
aluminum intake and big Holley carb. Very clean and tidy overall.
It features factory air conditioning, power steering and power
brakes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk compartment is completely
clean, solid metal with gray spatter finish. It has a gray felt mat
and underneath that is the original Oldsmobile mat. It also
includes a space saver spare and a jack. Bottom of the trunk lid is
gloss black. The weather strip is soft like new.
UNDERSIDE: The Hurst package includes Rallye suspension-swaybars
and H.D. shocks and springs, 3.23 posi rear and a special built
Turbo 400 auto with 3,000 stall. The trans is the original to the
car, looks fresh like its been rebuilt. Hs disc brakes in front.
Completely solid original metal. I don't see any signs of rust or
repairs. Even the drain plugs right behind the rear tires are still
completely intact and clean. Has dual exhaust with cherry bomb
mufflers.
I am excited about this car. It is a rare muscle car, sharp looking
with cool unique features. I bought 24 cars and drove each one as
they were unloaded off the trucks. This one drove the best. Tight,
smooth, no rattles or wind leaks. I would drive it anywhere!
Dont think too long, there might not be another one.
