Vehicle Description
This 1987 GMC Sierra 2500 Classic is a lifelong California truck,
and it shows. Extra Clean and it is a survivor truck with only some
minor paintwork due to faded paint and the bench seat was
recovered. This truck was highly optioned with Power Windows and
Locks, Tilt, Cruise, AC, sliding rear window and dual tanks. We
added some new Pro Comp Rims, but the original rims will come with
the truck. The body on this truck is really straight with no rust
and no evidence of rust repair. The underside is also extremely
nice and clean as you can see in the pictures. The paint is still
very nice and the roof, top of bed rails, and hood have been
painted from fading paint and the GM Clearcoat issue these truck
had. There are only minor imperfections in the remaining original
paint from normal driving. It looks excellent in person!! The
interior is pretty stock and in nice condition. The original carpet
is still very good as is the headliner. Original seat was recovered
and the dash had some cracks so it has a new dash cap. All of the
lights, gauges, horn, wipers, and heat are working. AC will need to
be serviced as is pretty typical on these older trucks it is not
blowing cold.
Mechanically this truck is very sound. The 5.7L V8 with Throttle
Body Fuel Injection runs strong with no issues and the Turbo 400
Automatic Transmission shifts great. All of the 4WD systems work as
they should. This has a Posi Rear End with 4.10 Gears. Some other
factory options include HD Radiator and Transmission Cooler. This
would be a great everyday driver for someone or just a weekend
cruiser. The truck drove straight and true and ran excellent on our
test drive.
