Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1964 Plymouth Valiant
Convertible. Owned by the same family since new, the current owned
acquired the car seven years ago from his second cousin whose
father owned a Plymouth dealership near Boone, North Carolina.
Older repaint in correct red shows to a driver standard; excellent
bumpers, grille, wheel covers, trim and glass. Nearly new
convertible top and tires.
Interior shows well with nice original steering wheel and recent
seat upholstery, carpet and dash pad. Original AM "transaudio"
radio remains in the dash but emits no sound. All gauges, lights
and the power convertible top are working as they should.
Under the hood is a rebuilt 225 cubic inch slant six fed by an
Offenhauser intake and a Holley four-barrel carb; rare four-speed
manual transmission with factory Hurst shifter. Lots of recent
service including new steering box, brake master cylinder and
suspension refresh. Runs and drives well and makes surprisingly
good power thanks to the Offy intake and four-barrel setup (plus it
sounds fantastic).
