In April of 1989, 230 U.S. Porsche dealers were selected to participate in the "Venture Tour" for the introduction and sales of the radically new Porsche 911 (964). Over 200 identical 911 Carrera 4s worth in excess of $18 million were built and gathered together at Porsche's Weissach test facility to await the arrival of these lucky dealers. They were treated to a 1,200 mile tour of scenic Germany and were then sent to each dealership's showroom to promote sales of the new 964 which was formally offered to the public in 1990. This car is one of the cars pictured in the poster.
