Vehicle Description
CPR Classic is proud to offer this 1973.5 Porsche 911T coupe
finished in its original color combination of Sepia Brown with a
brown vinyl interior. This '73 T is a beautifully preserved example
with just over 72,000 original miles. This car has been beautifully
cared for throughout its life and is in very original
condition.
This car was acquired from a substantial collection in the Palm
Springs area. In the several years before our acquisition, the
previous owner spent over $50,000 in mechanical restoration work
this 911. This work included a complete drivetrain overhaul with a
ground-up rebuild of the engine and gearbox, as well as a full
suspension and brake system overhaul. The car has only traveled
several hundred miles since completion.
This example retains a significant amount of its original paint and
arrived at CPR with a wholly original interior. After its arrival,
we chose to recondition the interior by sending the car to Autobahn
interiors to have a new carpet kit installed. The seats in the car
are original and arrived to us in usable condition but had faded
extensively. We chose to dye them to retain the original material
but make them as presentable as possible.
This 911 came to us having been years since its last paint
correction. We chose to perform a complete color sand and buff to
the exterior to remove light surface scratches, oxidation, and
bring back the depth and brightness of the original paint.
The documentation is extensive on this 911. The sale of the car
includes service records dating back to 1974 through the current
day, the original purchase agreement from Mozart Porsche Audi, as
well as multiple previous registrations throughout the car's
life.
This 1973.5 911T is a beautifully cared for example that has had
all of the appropriate work performed in recent years to make it a
wonderful long-hood 911 worth owning. With excellent history, great
drivability, and priced competitively, this is a 911 for a buyer
looking for a long-hood with solid provenance at an attractive
price point.
