Vehicle Description
This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro has been upgraded with a 420+ hp stroker
V8, four-wheel discs, sleek looks, a performance-ready interior,
and more. So while the style pays tribute to the Super Sport
coupes, this one has been given the right investments to run
circles around those cars.
First-generation Camaros are always iconic, but you can instantly
tell there is something extra special going on with this one. You
could get your car finished in silver from Chevy, but it never
looked like this. It's a modern paint called Chrome Sliver, and in
fact, the hue was borrowed from Nissan's speedy machines. It gives
this coupe an extra sleek presence that it utilizes fully with more
upgrades like the deleted body badging. Plus, the modern Intro
alloys have a staggered 18/20 inch front/rear stance on a lowered
suspension for a very aggressive look. But even with these
upgrades, this one always loves to show off its vintage flair with
great first-gen SS-style pieces, like the deep chin spoiler,
full-width rear spoiler, and power bulge in the cowl hood.
The black interior looks terrific against the silver exterior, and
the low-back bucket seats are always preferable in a pillarless
hardtop like this. You can tell they made a nice investment inside,
and there's even an upgraded retro-style AM/FM/cassette stereo. But
you also instantly recognize that the biggest upgrades were all
about making it a better performance machine. You get a grippy
sport steering wheel, power steering, Lokar shifter, and upgraded
pedals. The full gauge package is now a white-faced AutoMeter setup
that looks crisp in this dark interior, and it includes a large
Phantom speedo and tach as well as a full auxiliary trio.
Under the hood is a motor that's ready to show off. We dare you to
find another component that can be polished. As you dig into the
details, you'll even see nice supporting pieces like the upgraded
pulleys and aluminum radiator w/electric fan. In fact, all that
shine makes the rubber gasket around that air topper really stand
out. It seals the air element to the fresh air cowl hood, and
that's your first real sign that there's plenty of substance within
this style. This is a 383 cubic-inch stroker V8. It's a four-bolt
main block enhanced and fortified with a Scat steel crank, Scat
steel rods, forged pistons, upgraded heads, and a hefty Comp Cams
camshaft. It inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and
exhales with authority as headers feed the dual exhaust. The full
power package is rated at 423 horsepower and 424 ft-lb of torque -
and we have the dyno sheet to prove it! The stout TH400 three-speed
automatic transmission is built for performance with a shift kit,
3800 stall, extra clutch packs, and heavy duty sprag. This feeds a
3.55 Positraction rear end for versatile and confident driving.
Plus, you have a fully upgraded driving experience with frame
connectors, a rear sway bar, modern performance tires, and Wilwood
drilled & slotted four-wheel disc brakes.
