Cadillac's "junior marque," LaSalle, entered 1939 with a freshened styling, including a new tall narrow grille flanked by small side units, with ventilation panels on the sides of the hood. Running boards were now an optional feature while the mechanical specifications were improved by a redesigned radiator core and suspension. The cars looked lighter and sportier and have gone down in history as the most stylish LaSalle. Advertising bragged, "Cadillac sincerely believes that no one can drive the new LaSalle and not wholeheartedly desire it."

The car is powered by a healthy 322 flat head V8 engine, 3 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. The car features beautiful Art Deco styling, crisp body lines, excellent panel fit and deep glossy black paint. The interior is fully restored and is excellent in all areas. The trim is complete, clean and shows excellent.

The engine was rebuilt in 2017 by the skillful hands of Powerhouse Performance Center, of Fairfax VA; the engine runs very smooth and the vehicle is ready for immediate enjoyment.

This car was restored some years ago in factory-correct Black exterior paint, two tone red and black interior with black cloth convertible top. The trunk is full lined with oatmeal carpeting and carries the full size spare tire. Other highlights include: rear jump seats, fog lights, heather, radio, clock, original steering wheel and excellent glass and dash.
