Vehicle Description
Unimog is a range of multi-purpose all-wheel drive medium trucks
produced by Mercedes-Benz, a division of Diamler AG. The name
Unimog is a German acronym for "Universal-Motor-Device (Gerat). The
first model was designed shortly after World War II to be used in
agriculter as a self-propelled machine providing a power-take off
to operate saws in the forest or harvesting machines on fields. It
was designed with permanent all-wheel drive, with equal-size
wheels, in order to be driven on roads at higher speeds than
standard tractors. With their very high ground clearance and a
flexible frame that is essentially a part of the suspension,
Unimogs are ready to conquer any terrain. Due to their off road
capabilities, Unimogs can be found in jungles, mountains, and
deserts as military vehicles, fire fighters and expedition campers.
In Western Europe, they are commonly used as snowplows, municipal
implements, forest ranger vehicles, construction equipment and are
ready to tackle any job.

consideration. This 404 Comes configured as a Single Soft Top Cab
with a Pritsche or plank bed with drop rear gate, integrated roll
cage and cleverly fitted with 6 bucket seats for passenger use. The
truck is fitted with the desirable inline 6 cylinder gas engine.
Special features include coil springs, 6 speed gearbox with
integral transfer box and 2 reverse gears. Fully locking
differentials. Four wheel drive and axle differential locks can be
engaged and disengaged at any time with out declutching. Included
are an extra set of newer tires, soft top for the cab, chains and
axe and shovel when far out in the bush. This 'Mog is also features
newer paint in silver metallic.
