For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle in Seekonk, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

This sweet 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 572 Custom is one awesome street machine. It was completely restored to show quality standards and loaded with options such as power windows. It’s powered by a GM Performance ZZ572 V8 crate engine with 620HP and a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. This car was designed to look original with a hint of custom touches. Eat your heart out!

 

As the NCRS Shipping Data Report indicates the GM official production date of this car was April 9th, 1969. It was ordered and shipped to King Coal Chevrolet located in Oak Hill, WV. The NCRS Shipping Data Report is included. As the VIN number indicates this car was built in Baltimore, MD as a 1969 Chevrolet Malibu 2-door sports coupe with an 8-cylinder. As the trim tag indicates this car originally had a Garnet Red exterior and a Black fabric interior. From the information gathered it spent its entire life in West Virginia and was originally had the “L78” option which was a 396 V8 with 375HP. This information is not documented. The last owner who lived in West Virginia had the car for 21 years which is documented on the title. The last owner decided to fully restore the car from top to bottom. A new binder with tons of restoration receipts were date organized and covered with plastic sleeves. This binder is included. The restoration was completed in 2008 and it’s been driven just over 5,000 miles since. It still looks great and appears like it was recently restored.

 

The exterior of this car is total eye candy. The body is very straight and it has great gaps lines throughout. It’s equipped with a cowl hood which looks slick. The body was painted in its original color of Garnet Red. This a beautiful shade of Red and complements this car well. The paint job was recently detailed and really shines. MS CLASSIC CARS added a new black vinyl top with new moldings which really made it look sportier. All of the glass was replaced new during the restoration and still looks excellent. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the window trim, wipers, dual mirrors, door handles, grille, headlight buckets, headlights, front bumper, rear taillight bezels, rear taillights, rear bumper and emblems. It’s equipped with a short chrome antenna and SS 396 badging. MS CLASSIC CARS added new 18” American Racing VN 507 Rodder wheels that are black with a polished lip. The wheels are wrapped with new tires that are Sumitomo HTRZ5 235-45-18 on the front and Velozza ZXV 245-50-18 on the rear. An extra set of 15” SS Mags with Kelly Charger tires that are 235-60-15 on the front and 255-60-15 on the rear are included. An set front of new Sumitomo HTRZ5 235-45-18 tires are also included.

 

The interior of this car has been completely restored in its original color of black. It presents itself beautifully with some custom touches throughout. Everything in the interior has been restored or replaced including the headliner, sun visors, rear view mirror, SS gauges, door panels, bucket seats, seat belts, center console and carpeting. Some of the custom touches include Autometer gauges, Detroit speed wiper motor with billet dash knob, Billet Specialties 14” Draft Black Anodized steering wheel, power windows, Autosound stereo system and custom floor mats. The power windows were added to the center console and the exhaust cut out switch is inside the console storage compartment. The cool thing about this interior is it’s the perfect blend of original and custom. The trunk compartment was nicely restored. It has a spare wheel with tire and jack tools. The spare tire doesn’t match either set of wheels. It also has the factory style trunk mat and spare tire cover.

 

The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout and loaded with custom features. The firewall, inner fenders and radiator support was finished in stain black. The car is powered by a GM Performance ZZ572 V8 crate engine with 620HP. This is an excellent engine was designed for reliability and power. It was ordered complete from GM Performance which included such items as the Demon Carburetor, GM distributor and GM wires.  The engine was ordered with the GM Performance Billet front pulley system. This complete engine and pulley system combination is almost $20,000! The engine is dressed with a chrome air cleaner and a chrome valve cover breather. It also has a Marshall Fuel pressure gauge with braided lines and custom fittings. The engine is cooled with a Griffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The hoses have heat shrink clamps. It has a chrome radiator cover that matches the air cleaner and valve cover breather. It’s equipped with a new red top Optima battery and custom aluminum battery tray. The engine breathes through Hooker Competitive ceramic headers and a 3” Flowmaster exhaust system with electric cut outs. This car sounds awesome! The engine is coupled to a Keisler Tremec TKO 5-speed transmission. This is the ultimate transmission which costs a pretty penny. The power is transferred to the rebuilt 12-bolt POSI end with a custom housing cover.

 

The undercarriage is nicely detailed throughout. The floors were finished in satin black. The car is equipped with power steering which includes a Billet power steering pump. It’s also equipped with power brakes which include a gold brake booster, vacuum pump, chrome master cylinder and front discs. It’s equipped with Hotchkis front and rear sway bars. It’s also equipped with QA1 coil over shocks in the front and QA1 shocks in the rear.

 

Once again, this sweet 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 572 Custom is one awesome street machine. It is not for the weak at heart. Rock and Roll Pneumonia!
