Vehicle Description
1932 Chevrolet Hi Boy - IROC 350ci V8 w/TH350 - Plum Crazy Paint -
Custom Gray Tweed Interior - All Steel Body - American Racing
Wheels - (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on

hot rod is really eye catching thanks to the EMI all steel body,
and the unique styling components that adorn the car. A custom gray
tweed interior is nicely finished with supportive bucket seats,
LeCarra steering wheel, VDO gauges, and scalloped door panels. Next
to other Hi Boys this one has pretty simple styling, with a slight
twist. Square headlights and side mirrors are different and
unexpected on a Hot Rod like this. So many Hi Boys have round
headlights, and heavily louvered hoods and/or side panels. This one
takes a different approach - 3 horizontal tapered, teardrop shaped
'strakes' break up the otherwise smooth side panels, and vertical
tail lights are carefully integrated on the rear of the car. Going
hand in hand with the smooth, simple styling is the fact no exhaust
components can be seen from the side of the car. Hi Boys commonly
have headers and side exhaust systems. Two simple exhaust pipes
protrude slightly just beneath the trunk at the rear of this Plum
Crazy creation. Grey tweed rules the roost in the passenger
compartment and trunk area of this hot rod. A plum crazy painted
dash and purple scalloped door panels break up the grey a little
bit. VDO gauges framed by an aluminum panel, a purple LeCarra
steering wheel, and bolstered bucket seats are the main focal
points inside the car. A purple panel in the center of the
dashboard hides the ignition switch and window switches. Beneath
the sideways canting hood is a 350ci V8 that was originally fitted
to an IROC Camaro. The engine provides plenty of power to get this
Hi Boy moving at a good pace if you put your foot in it. A TH350
transmission handles gear selection and power is transmitted to the
wheels through a Ford 9 rear end. The engine bay is tidy with many
polished aluminum parts and the engine itself is painted in Plum
Crazy to match the exterior. Under the car is extremely tidy as
well. Painted, polished, or chromed suspension components are easy
to see, even when the car is on the ground. American Racing five
spoke wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tires give the car some more
style points. This eye catching, Plum Crazy creation consists of
plenty of traditional styling and components as well as some unique
touches. The build of this hot rod was thought out and nice
components were used to make the final product. Be sure to check
