Real GTX listed in the registry. Has vin #s matching motor and
trans. Original fender tag has been decoded. It had a rotisserie
restoration, the bottom is extra impressive.
EXTERIOR: It is a good looking car. Sits right, decked out with
stripes and spoiler, great tire and wheel combination. Looking down
each side it's very straight, the panels fit really well. It is an
older paint job with a few minor flaws that you'll find it you look
for them. The metal flake paint is laid out evenly. The clear coat
is polished like glass, has a wet look. Door jambs are painted and
clear coated. Has original vin # sticker. Has the decal stripes on
the sides, hood stripes are painted on glass black and you don't
feel them. Has the air grabber hood with the turn signals mounted
at the back. Correct spoiler is mounted on the trunk. Bumpers are
rechromed. The door handles, mirror, moldings, grill, taillights
are in good original condition. Has 14 inch rally wheels with
reproduction Wide Oval tires. Weather strips are in real good
shape, new windshield.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in the car looking at a dash that sparkles.
The instrument bezel and gauges look like they are new. Has quartz
movement in the clock. The radio is a retro stereo that looks like
the original. Has auxiliary plugs in the glove box and XM
Satellite. Original radio is in the trunk. The dash pad is
excellent. Overhead the visors, headliner and mirror are excellent,
dome light works. It has bucket seats with the buddy armrest
cushion in the middle. Functions as an armrest or a third seat. The
upholstery and door panels are very good. Has green embroidered GTX
floor mats. It is a factory air conditioning car so it has the
controls and vents in the dash. The parts under the hood are
missing. It is not difficult to update with Vintage Air.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s match 440 Magnum engine, 375 horsepower and
a functional Air Grabber system. Also features power steering and a
brand new power brake system. The components look proper, wiper
motor is restored, windshield washers are hooked up. The engine bay
is really clean, rust free damage free metal. Has matching vin # on
core support. The original fender tag is still attached and has
been decoded.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Looks like solid original trunk floor and 1/4s.
Had some pitting but it is rare to still have the original. Had new
mat. Trunk light works.
Bottom of the trunk lid and jamb are painted and clear coated.
UNDERSIDE: Exceptionally clean factory metal. The factory seams are
crisp, floors are not patched or pitted. The bottom of the car is
painted body color. The front end was completely rebuilt and
detailed in correct finishes. Bottom of the motor is spotless,
starter looks new. The casting # and date on the block are correct.
The matching vin # is stamped on the pad above the oil pan. The 727
Torqueflite trans looks fresh, the matching vin also matches the
car. Has a new set of 3.55 posi gears in the rear end. Rear
suspension looks fresh too. New fuel tank and sending unit. New
disc brake conversion in front, e-brake assembly is complete. Has a
fat exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and crossover pipe. The bottom
of this car is really clean.
Real deal GTX with a lot going for it. #s match, great options and
a really impressive underside.
