Vehicle Description
The 1967 Volkswagen Beetle is already highly sought-after thanks to
some unique features only for this year. So to find one that was
also predominately a California car and was restored to be an
excellent driver means this is one for the true Bug
enthusiasts.
We all love the iconic streamlined Beetle shape, but you can
instantly tell this one was given extra attitude during
restoration. The quality respray of the factory-correct L282 lotus
white paint shows great shine and smooth coverage, so this one
draws attention. And that's what you want on a '67. These had
special single-year features. Up front it was the updated
headlights that still had the front vents, and in the rear the
decklid was special for this one year only. In fact, this one has
been well-maintained and correct, right down to the original side
glass. So this one has a distinct and classic style that runs all
the way to its core. But those 15-inch BRM wheels and the forward
leaning stance lets you know that you're going to love it for far
more than just its classic style.
While the Beetle is known for being simple to fix and maintain,
it's also a treat to see that someone made a substantial investment
in restoring the interior. Newer door panels, headliner, and
carpeting make this an inviting atmosphere. Plus, the Procar bucket
seats really offer terrific bolstering for all-day comfort. You
have the right 1967-specific elements, like the rubberized dash
knobs and the knob-less ash tray. There are plenty of upgrades, but
they have also been done with care. For example, the factory brake
warning light in the center of the dash is now actually a handier
oil pressure warning light. The auxiliary gauge trio has been
expertly integrated into the dash, and they are VDO readouts to
match the VW factory gauge brand. And the Grant sports steering
wheel, performance shifter, and Sunpro tach all work together to
elevate the driving fun.
You can instantly see this one has been upgraded in the engine bay
by the unmistakable look of the dual carb setup that really gives
these Beetles some extra legs. Plus, this is a larger 1641cc motor
with 87mm pistons and desirable dual port heads. It's a fully
rebuilt setup as part of this car's restoration, and so you get a
strong and extra powerful VW motor that still provides that iconic
air-cooled hum. Even the four-speed manual transmission was
completely rebuilt during restoration, so you have a smooth action
to go with your upgraded power.
The sale comes complete with a car cover, owner's manual, and about
$1,300 worth of spare components. We have a huge list of work has
gone into this restored Beetle, so give us a call to go over all
the details. We'll give you a full picture on a well-done total
package that makes for Bug you'll love driving. Call today!!!
