Vehicle Description
We didn't know it back then, but this 2002 Pontiac Firebird 35th
Anniversary Trans Am convertible was the last time we'd celebrate a
milestone with Pontiac. So that makes this collector's edition
droptop desirable well beyond its desirable LS1 V8, low mileage,
WS6 package, and carefully preserved total presentation.
This has always been a true collector's car from day one. In fact,
there were less than 1,050 convertibles built for the US and
Canada. So that's why this car has been treated so special and has
averaged only about 1,500 miles annually. The special 35th
anniversary package started by bringing back on of their boldest
colors around for an exclusive run that was appropriately re-named
Collector Yellow. It looks so terrific on this preserved example,
they even painted the wheels to match. Plus, these anniversary cars
had some very unique factory striping that was added from hood to
tail. These silver and black stripes are well-coordinated with
everything from the trim rings on the wheels to the black folding
roof. So it's a bold and thoughtful total package.
If you like the way the black roof looks against the yellow paint,
then you'll love the full Ebony interior. Low mileage means little
seat time in the black leather buckets, and they even come with
commemorative stitching in the headrest. These anniversary cars
only came one way: loaded. This includes features such as a power
driver's seat, power locks, cruise control, keyless entry/alarm,
steering wheel mounted controls, and a Monsoon AM/FM/CD premium
stereo. Power windows and a power convertible top mean you never
have to leave the driver's seat to go from enclosed comfort to a
wind-in-you-hair experience. And cold-blowing air conditioning
means you get you enjoy this all through the summer, too. Beyond
just luxury features, a modern classic also means modern safety,
too. So you get items like dual airbags, anti-lock brakes, and
traction control (yes, you can turn that last one off when it's
time to have fun.)
Under the hood is the numbers-matching LS1 fuel-injected V8. And
with the special Ram Air hood element that comes on the WS6
package, this is a powerful 325 hp machine. The entire engine bay
looks like a fresh time capsule, right down to the factory decals.
And when you fire up this T/A, it has an upgraded tune out of the
Corsa exhaust. It makes for a wonderful soundtrack that will make
it irresistible to add to the low mileage odometer. Plus, the
four-speed automatic transmission is ideal for both quick
kick-downs for power as well as easy overdrive cruising. The
suspension is another WS6 high point, with bigger sway bars and
higher spring rates than a regular Trans Am. Add this to four-wheel
disc brakes and power steering, and this is the collector car that
begs to be driven.
The sale comes with the owner's manual, title documentation, and
maintenance records. It's a babied classic that pays proper tribute
to Pontiac's performance heritage. Call today!!!
