This 1992 Jaguar XJS with 44 K original miles is finished in white exterior, saddle interior and cloth convertible top is powered by the 12 cylinder, 5.3 L automatic transmission.
This Jaguar looks fantastic for her age and drives as great as she looks. The engine is quiet and shifts are smooth and crisp as well. The beautiful white original paint is in a very good condition!
The car was purchased new from an elderly lady in Kentucky and she kept her until four years ago when she was purchased by a Florida resident who never had a chance to ride her due to health issues. I purchased her a month later and have had her ever since. I have all the maintenance documentations since 1992. When I purchased it, I installed a new radiator and installed new leather interior.
The clean V12 engine runs great and smooth and the automatic gearbox shifts excellent.
The Jaguar is very well maintained. The leather seats, the noble with burled walnut wooden dashboard with clear gauges, the carpet, the door panels and the convertible headliner are all in excellent condition.
The jag’s original 5.3 L V1 2 engine is very strong and smooth running. She thinks she is an airplane as she moves onto a highway from an exit ramp.
The jag is currently a weekend driver but she is fully capable of being an everyday driver. She is kept in a garage with a commercial dehumidifier running all the time. To help preserve the engine she currently only gets non ethanol gas.
There is something magical about a V12 engine. They are under the hoods of some of the most-exclusive high-performance cars in the world. Think Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin. The sound of a V12 engine is unlike any other engine type, with a turbine-like whirr that is absolutely addicting. There is a downside with a […]
There is something magical about a sports or GT car with a V12 under its hood. The V12 is the mythic engine layout that has won hundreds of races.
The world in the mid-1970s was very different than it was just five years previous. Drivers’ tastes had changed;
Prices may continue to soar at collector car auctions, but the June report of the Hagerty Market Rating sustained its largest decline in the past 14 months.
A delightful story arrived in my inbox recently. Headlined “The six weirdest places F1 has raced,” it was written by Ben Miles and published by Goodwood Road & Racing, and if you haven’t signed up for the British circuit’s newsletter, you’re missing some great (oh-how-I-hate-the-word) content. Those six weirdest places in Miles’ mind were a […]
Icon’s Reformer series adds modern upgrades to vintage vehicles, while keeping their classic style intact. The latest vehicle to get the Reformer treatment is a 1970 Ford F-100. Underneath the Nixon-era exterior is a modern Ford 5.0-liter V8, tuned to produce 426 horsepower and bolted to a Ford AOD automatic transmission. A Borla exhaust system […]
The 20th annual Woodies at the Beach show in Santa Barbara, California, is still on for July 25, though officials might require social distancing and other health precautions, notes Santa Barbara Woodie Club president Rick White. “We have non-profits that depend on us that help clothe and feed and do essential things,” White noted. So […]
When we talk about America, we instinctively talk about cars. Well… at least I do. Maybe it has something to do with me being a huge car enthusiast? I definitely think so. In this article I will dig into the American car culture and find my all-time American dream car. No! It will not be […]
The Video of the Day begins with what appears to be a horrible and flaming crash during a dirt-track auto race, but no people were injured. That’s because the video shows newsreel action from the 1940s involving miniature auto racing cars. At the time, the newsreel informs, there were 6 tracks in the U.S. with […]
In these strange times, there are many questions people are trying to answer. Such as, with things opening up so that you can take your classic car on a road trip, what do you do if that drive lasts more than an afternoon? Would you really want to stay in a hotel, Airbnb or VRBO […]
