GR Auto gallery is pleased to present this all original, one owner,
low mile 1986 Ford Mustang SVO. The SVO was produced by Fords
"Special Vehicle Operations" division. The goal was to achieve
similar horsepower from a motor that was smaller, more efficient
and lighter than the 5.0 Liter V8. Ford engineers developed a 2.3
liter turbo charged inline 4 cylinder engine that was able to
achieve the task. The power was similar and combined with less
weight and better weight distribution, the SVO's overall
performance rivaled any car in the era.
The 1986 Ford SVO offered here is a great, unmolested example that
has been with the same owner since purchased new at Champion Ford
of Denver Co. The car is finished in Bright Red exterior paint over
Grey leather interior. The car remains completely stock and
completely original. It retains its numbers matching SVO engine, 5
speed transmission and running gear. Other highlights included:
Power steering, power brakes, power windows, sport seats, factory
aluminum wheels, SVO hood and dual SVO rear spoilers. The car
features just 33 253 miles.
Fox Body Mustangs are red hot in todays market and are increasing
in value. The SVO, being a limited production car with a rich
history, is poised to be on top on your automotive portfolio. The
car hear, although not perfect, is a well kept original example
that is a great addition to any collection or enthusiasts
