Either term could have been applied accurately to the original lightweight 300SL that debuted in the 1950s, and in some ways for the W113 Pagoda-roof 230/250/280SL cars of […]

The 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible just has a friendly, flower-power feel. But, it’s every inch a sports car. With a 427 cranking out 435-horsepower, this does have an alter-ego.
The hot rodders’ favorite canvas was (and is) the early 1930 Fords, but those aren’t the only vehicles that provide a source for souped-up fun. Case in point is the Pick of the Day, a 1935 Chevrolet Master street-rod sedan being advertised on ClassicCars.com by a dealer in Fort Worth, Texas. As the dealer notes […]
Hyundai is promoting its newest — seventh, and smallest — crossover/sports utility vehicle, the Venue, as the ideal vehicle for “the urban adventurer.” “Small SUV. Big city hustle.” it says on the Venue’s page on hyundaiusa.com. So, what did I do when one of the new 2020 Venues arrived for a test drive? Obviously, I […]
The Lincoln Continental is a shadow of its former self. The current-generation model has been supplanted by the Navigator as Lincoln’s flagship, but the Continental name once denoted some of the most-prestigious luxury cars America had to offer. One of those cars was recently featured on Jay Leno’s Garage. This 1958 Continental Mark III was built during […]

The GMC Jimmy (aka Chevrolet S10 Blazer) is a longtime favorite in the 2-door version, much more so than the Ford Bronco II of the same era that has turned, inexplicably, into a popular and pricey collector car. Jimmy’s clean and simple styling is quite appealing, and don’t you just love a vehicle with an […]
