Vehicle Description

AWESOME 1957 PORSCHE 356 SPEEDSTER REPLICA BY VINTAGE SPEEDSTER...1915 CC DUAL CARB., 3.88 FREEWAY FLYER, FRONT DISC BRAKES, FULL TONNEAU,...READY TO SHOW AND GO!!!!

Absolutely gorgeous 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster Replica! This beautiful IVORY 356 Replica has just under 8400 miles, is in amazing condition and runs and drives as good as it looks! That’s correct, I did say Replica, but not just any replica….this speedster was hand built by Vintage Speedsters out of California, one of the original builders of Porsche Speedster Replicas. In fact they had built about 90% of all the Porsche Speedster replicas on the market and their quality and customer service was top notch. They sold the company several years ago. They used a custom built, jog welded 2×4″ 11 gauge steel frame. This rigid new structure retains the original VW floor pan designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and integrates the largest frame possible. In addition the steering wheel is offset slightly just as it was in the original Speedster. While original Speedsters are a rare breed, Vintage Speedster Replicas are rare in their own right with roughly only 3000 built. This will be a great addition to any car guy or gals collection, or perfect for anyone looking for a truly unique sports car investment that can be driven anywhere as well be taken to the car shows and cruise-ins. Most people have no idea that this is not an original worth well over $200k and it will be up to you if you want to reveal the secret when you get stopped everywhere you go. I will do my best to provide you with enough large images, a video of the car running and an honest description to help you decide if this is the one for you. Sit back and enjoy! I am also a transport broker and can assist the buyer with Enclosed Transport anywhere in the US and I welcome overseas buyers as well and can assist in getting the car to the port of your choice.

This particular car was built in 2010 for the original owner in Washington State. This was one of the cars on his bucket list and he thoroughly enjoyed it during his 7 years of ownership. After owning it for 3 years the motor was not performing properly and he had it completely rebuilt. As a result there are just under 2500 miles on this rebuilt 1915cc motor. The car was pampered and always properly maintained with oil changes and valve adjustments when needed.  In 2017 he decided it was time to let it go for another owner to enjoy. The gentleman who bought it then moved to Virginia and drove it on Sunny Spring and Summer days and also kept it well maintained.  With his first child arriving he decided to let it go and I bought it from him and it transported in an enclosed trailer to my showroom here in the Atlanta GA. It is now available for the next lucky owner to enjoy...maybe you!!!?

As you will see in the pics the body on this Speedster is in amazing condition. Body panel fit is fantastic and the doors on this replica open and shut like a new Porsche. Everyone who sees this car is extremely impressed with how authentic it looks. Other than a very small chip along the edge of the hood  and 1 or 2 tiny rock chips, the body is in near flawless condition.  All of the chrome trim and stainless looks excellent. This one also has the additional driving lights. I believe these Speedsters should be driven top down as often as possible but of course it is nice to know that if needed this Speedster has a gorgeous tan convertible top that goes up in minutes and fits very nicely. There are side window inserts as well. The top is in like new condition. When you have the top down you have 2 options with this car since it was ordered with the optional full tonneau cover which allows you to close the whole cabin of the car when it is parked and zip out the drivers area during your ride. Or, simply use the boot cover. But please, enjoy this baby topless as much as possible!!!

Complimenting the gorgeous Ivory Exterior exterior is an equally impressive camel colored interior. This is an awesome color combination on these cars! The seats in this Speedster are the thicker, more cushioned seats that you would have found in the Cabriolet models back in the day. The interior is also essentially flawless. Simplistic sophistication is the best way to describe the layout of the interior.  Seat belts for both front passengers. There is a rear seat pad but I think it is more like a storage shelf than a seat. Door panels and carpeting look great. Dash is neatly laid out with all of the gauges you need to monitor the performance of this air cooled 1915 cc dual carb engine. All of the gauges, lights, turn signals etc are working correctly. Nardi styled woodgrain steering wheel looks great. Bluetooth Stereo mounted under dash with hidden speakers.  Nice set of Coco mats finish out the interior.

I have owned over 20 used Vintage Speedsters so I knew what to expect when it this one arrived. However, I when I got my first one I have to admit I was a little skeptical about how much fun it would be to drive. Well, after driving that first one I was immediately a fan and this one, with just under 2500 miles on the rebuilt 1915 cc drives just as good as the first one. If you ask me if the car is fast I will be honest and tell you no it is not. If you ask me if it is fun to drive I will enthusiastically say absolutely yes!!! These cars have a serious fun factor unlike anything else. The 1915 cc dual carb air cooled engine is nice and peppy and cruises along at highway speeds with no problem. The original 1915 CC motor was not performing as well as it should after 3 years of ownership so the original owner had it completely rebuilt with new components when it had 6000 miles on it. With just under 8400 miles on the odometer this mortor is very fresh with just under 2500 miles since the rebuild. A recent valve adjustment and oil change was performed. This particular car also has the upgraded 3.88 Freeway flyer transmission allowing you to cruise along at 70 mph on the highway.  The car has a nice tone from the tri-mil dual exhaust and you can hear it running in the video that follows. This little speedster also handles really well with front sway bar, adjustable front suspension, adjustable rear swing plates, and close to new set of Pirelli P4 rubber on a beautiful set of chrome wheels with the Porsche emblem hub caps. Braking is a breeze with the upgraded front disc brake option this one has. Maintenance is cheap and easy on this car and any foreign car mechanics should be able to do a valve adjustment and tune up every 3-4,000 miles to keep it running great The undercarriage looks great and engine bay is also nice and clean as you would expect.. This one has a spare tire mounted in the carpeted front trunk area so go ahead and take that weekend trip to the mountains or the beach, it will be a ride to remember but make sure you leave a little extra time for all the questions and thumbs up you will get along the way. There is nothing this car needs but you in the drivers seat!! It is Titled as a 1969 VW which makes it easy to register and insure.

Be sure to watch the video that follows to hear it start up and running. It is the second picture that you can click on the arrow to play the video.
