The Silver Dawn, launched in 1947, was an evolution of the pre-war Rolls-Royce and was offered in the traditional chassis form ready for the fitting of bespoke coachwork. The 4,257cc overhead-inlet, side-exhaust engine developed before the war was used, as well as a modified coil and wishbone independent front suspension.
This lovely left hand drive example comes from a long-time customer who has shown and toured the car extensively. The car has been displayed at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island and then driven home to Connecticut by its fastidious owner with complete reliability. It has its original ownership book, jack and spare tire.
It has been incredibly well maintained and is ready for immediate enjoyment both as a show car and a car that can be toured extensively. It starts instantly every time and handles effortlessly.
