The bus was born as a 21 Window Microbus Deluxe Samba on October 7, 1965 in the original colors of velvet green and pearl white. It left the factory in Wolfsburg October 13, 1965 for San Francisco, CA. The bus spent most of its life in California. Factory issued "Certificate of Authenticity". Outstanding presentation of colors. Very well restored with attention to detail.THIS IS THE REAL DEAL DOCUMENTED W/ CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY and HAS ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUALS While the bus is mostly original the following upgraded have been done.1) A rebuilt 1776 cc engine replaced the original 1.5 liter engine.2) The clock is new and converted to quartz 3) The radio is a new retro sound classic which looks like the original however also has built in Bluetooth and Siruis-XM ready with a new speaker. Play your favorite tunes on Spotify!4) All gauges have been restored to like new condition.5) The complete brake system was rebuilt and new shocks have less than 150 miles.6) New Safari windows (front windows that open) were installed in March 2018.All other windows are original German Sekurit VW windows.7) Chrome and rubber bumpers front and back have been restored.8) Sunroof restored professionally and is fully appreciated.
