Bubbletop is powered by the legendary 409 CID V8. That powerhouse
is backed by a smooth shifting 4-speed manual transmission to keep
you in full control. The engine stampings are: L176303 and T0515QB.
The QB is the suffix code for a 409 with 409 horsepower! A complete
professional frame-off, nut and bolt restoration has been
performed, making this Bel Air as nice or nicer than it left the
factory. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer example of a 62
Bel Air Bubbletop than this beauty. The Red paint is incredibly
deep and has a high gloss show quality finish. The steel wheels
have been painted to match and are topped off with the correct
center caps and BF Goodrich radial tires. No expense was spared in
the build of this Chevy, including the interior where Red cloth and
vinyl bench seats welcome you in, with brand new seat belts,
carpet, headliner, and floormats. Just 5,602 miles since the
restoration was completed, and this car is always detailed after a
drive and is garage kept with plastic on the seats and floor mats.
Many will tell you that this is the beginning of the muscle car.
Cramming a big engine into a rear wheel drive family car, and
backing it up with a 4-speed to beat the competition at the drag
strip on the weekends. Speed was the name of the game and pulling
one horsepower per cubic inch was a big deal in 1962. This
Bubbletop is a show winner as it sits and would be the centerpiece
of any collection. For additional information, please visit
